Which rear shock absorber do you recommend to my Buell S1 Lightning from 1998?

Penske:

Shock from Iron Machine:
http://www.ironmachine.com/index.php?cPath=48

There are two different two choose between 93929YA and 93930YA. Does anyone know the difference between these two?

What will happen if I fill my old damper with oil and remove the gas damper that is not working on my shock? Will it work?

/Ralf

You canhave the old shock redone by a suspension shop like Race Tech,Traxion Dynamics, etc for less than 1/2 the cost of aftermarket like Penske.I have had mine done here in CA at a place called Aftershocks with good results.About 300. Or if you want the lokk of the exposed spring give Al a call at American Sport Bike. And ,no,you cannot just refill and take off the gas cannister, sorry.
