Does anyone know what type of metal this piece is made of? Mine is cracked and I have taken it to a shop to have it welded and the welder did not want to take a stick to it until he knew what it was made of. Also with respect to powder coating these what do the shops usually coat the head pipes with(type of material)?? | ||

Newfie--it's some kind of stainless. I had some welding done on a race pipe (I assume it's the same kind of stainless) and the guy used a stainless rod. It worked out fine, I think I posted pix in the exhaust section. r-t |
