The DDFI w/ pcIII is crap. I'm considering several options to fix my problem - one is DirectLink, which I've been hearing much about. It seems like the only interesting option for the DDFI. Still pretty new and I'm not sure I want to be one of the guinee pigs. The other is a a carb conversion.

I don't really know much about harley parts in general so the interchange with the buell parts has me a little stumped. eBay sellers don't give much info to go off anyways so I have a few questions.

Is the sportster 883/1200 intake manifold the only one that is compatible? Is it part 27004-89?What year did these motors replace the ironhead?

The keihin cv appears to be on many different harleys. Which motor sizes and years have cv 40's?

Will my stock airbox (2000 s3t) work or will I also have to get a sporty/buell a/c bracket?
