Anybody know if an X1 header (the blue coated one) will fit on a 98 S1W??

Nope. Your 98 routes the header outside of the frame tube. From 99 on the header is inside the frame, and the frame is "bent" to accomodate this.

Your 98 is faster.

Tripper,

Thanx for the info. I was aware of the routing on both models, just wasn't sure if it would be possible to make it fit. I would have been nice to have it tucked inside the frame though.

Sure It'll fit hers an example. The only thing you do need to do is plug the 02 censor bung.
