Hey guys I just installed the forcewinder, and I think that the bike is now too lean, the plugs are pretty white, does anyone have any info that may help? I also have the v&h slip on. | ||

Idle screw 2 1/2 turns out from seated, 48 low speed jet, and 200 high speed jet ... If the timimg is correct and the correct spark plugs it should run like you want it too ... Adjust idle to 1K RPM ... Let the board know how it runs when carb is up-dated ... In BUELLing LaFayette (Message edited by buellistic on January 20, 2006) | ||

Might also try a 45 pilot (low speed) jet. Some do better with the 48 though. Then if you really want to be sure of the tuning, put her on the dyno with an exhaust sniffer.  | ||

look on the floor of the venturi -- 5 holes (and they are really small) = 48 4 holes = 45 | ||

Bomber: Your looking at the NEEDLE JET HOLDER Pn 27101-88 ??? The #48 SLOW JET PN 27165-90 has one hole !!! The #200 Main jet(high speed) PN 27105-88 has one hole !!! The holder is call a NEEDLE JET HOLDER and can have several holes depending on which one you are running and what NEEDLE JET you are running ??? In BUELLing LaFayette | ||

LaFayette -- neither, sir -- if you look on the floor of the venturi, in the carb body itself, just about directly under the shaft the butterfly lives on, you'll find some holes -- I wasn't kidding about their being small -- they're teeny tiny | ||

Don't forget to check the float bowl breather port on the Forcewinder! The late model Forcewinder's had them cast way to small, the starve the float bowl at mid to high rpm's! Check the KV for details. I don't have the direct link handy. (I'm sure someone will post it shortly).. |
