Similar to the bike poll, only on the dealership, but I don't think we need to name the dealers in this one as I think we are mainly looking for just a general head count, the head chopping can come at another time (like in the Knowledge Vault's "Dealers.." topic).

So, please answer only for dealerships you have had regular contact with and list them only as Dealer #1, Dealer #2, and so forth, then answer the following with either satisfied or unsatisfied:
Dealership #_, sales department:___, parts department:___, service department:___, and for this topic I think we can add in a variable answer as well.

I'll start:

Dealer #1: sales = satisfied, parts = satisfied, service = variable.

There, that was easy. Next? Thanks,

MikeJ

Dealership#1, Sales satisfied( I only paid $3500 for a 2003 Blast). Parts-Unsatisfied( It took two weeks to get a high profile seat. They had two in stock the whole time I was waiting on it). Service-???

Dealership#2 AAAAA+++++ across the board, They give me 10% off of everything I buy from them. I got 50% off my leather jacket.

Local dealer. Service unsatisfied, my wifes bike would not start when I went to pick it up. They said it started the last time they tried it so it was not their problem. If you are in GA and want the name of the dealer e-mail me at dan43@knology.net

Dealer #1

Sales Dept - satisfied, great people

Parts Dept -
, very unsatisfied, slow as molasses and ordered wrong parts for me after I picked them out of the parts manual.

Service - very unsatisfied, tried to blame me for rear wheel bearings burning up by me powerwashing bike, take forever 2-3 weeks just to do normal servicing of bike (change oil, etc).

Dealer1-
Service - poor
Sales - Avg
Parts - Poor

Dealer2-
Service - bad
Sales - unless you want a HD, BAD.
Parts - Poor

Dealer3-
Service - Good
Sales - N/A
Parts - Fair

Dealer4-
Service - Unknown as of yet.
Sales - Unknown as of yet.
Parts - Unknown as of yet.

Dealer one will no longer be carying Buells in the very near future. Dealer 4 will be moving much closer to me and so far in my talks with them they seem committed to Bueller's. We will see though. I am batting a poor average here in central Fl. Ocala, not being one of the listed 4 were down right rude when inquiring about trading my S3T in on a CityX. Wont go back there ever again.

Dealer#1-Service=Bad-three weeks on two things I had done that they told me would be done in one day, especially when it was scheduled
Sales-looks to be good, not too many buells though
Parts=bad=have ordered wrong parts for me on five different occasions, showed dealer #2 and they just laughed and said that it wouldn't happen here.
Location=great five minutes from work!
Dealer #2 Service=seems good never had them do anything since Dealer #1, I now do it all myself
Sales=seems good lots of buells
Parts=good one screw up after they said that it wouldn't happen here but otherwise spot on.
location=45 minutes from work, not bad, but still aways when fighting traffic

Dealership #1: sales department: satisfied, parts department: N/A, service department: N/A

Dealership #2: sales department: N/A, parts department: satisfied, service department: VERY unsatisfied

(the so-called "technician" told me I needed to bypass a $70 "faulty" headlight modulator and it would cost me at least $35 labor. I found a bad ground connection after 10 minutes of inspection on my own! Headlight AND modulator work perfectly with 3 inches of wire and no more than 15 minutes of my time)

Dealership #1 Sales...satisfied, Parts Dept...satisfied+ Service Dept...satisfied

There is a dealer #2...they are owned by the same person(s) and they are equal in all respects to dealer #1.

They don't always have all the parts I go looking for (but if it's a part that is used with reasonable frequency, they WILL have it next time), but they deliver on time as promised...I do my own servicing and repairs...but I qualified the service dept as good because the service manager(s) are both patient with a noob Buell owner.

A nice aside is that the owner himself always attends our monthly club rides.!!! and spends a little time with everybody to make sure "his people" are taking care of us.
