Hey guys, I picked up a slightly used, but still broken, Borla slip on for my Y2K M2 today from the salvage yard. It is very straight and polished up real nice!!

Now here is the problem:HELP: the 2 ream hangers where the pipe bolts to the fram are both broken off!! They were 1/4" by 3/4" stainless steel straps, welded to the pipe, and very beefy looking to have been broken off!! I REALLY want to put this pipe on somehow, and was curious what the "pros" would recommend!! I love the look of the carbon fibre, and it is way light and gorgeous to look at in the sunlight. I have heard these have a great sound to them, and really want to put it on!!

Help guys, PLEASE!! I was thinking buying some universal hangers from Pep Boys or something, as none of the Exhaust places around here are willing to work with stainless that thick, and the one said it may even be a safety concern!! Good point, but come on, if you cant or dont want to do it, just tell me, you know!!

Thanks guys, please help, having exhaust withdrawls!!

My CF Borla has no hangers at all welded to it. It uses a race header type of clamp in front, and a beefy chromed tailpipe clamp/hanger suspended by straight bar stock from the bracket in the rear. Make sure the muffler is positioned to the left enough to keep it from being rubbed by the shock can.

Used the chromed tailpipe clamp and added a universal carmufflerclamp to it with a straigt bar of ss steel to the rear bracket. Still working on a front clamp.

Try making a hanger out of some half hard stainless, kinda like a upside down p or q... Mine has been on for 4 years......

I cut up a rear Z bracket and bent it as well as I could using a vice and etc... I seem to have a little play on the front mount, I can push it towards the shock maybe a 1/4 inch with my hand, but no vertical play nor can I push it away from the shock towards the outside of the bike. The rear does not move with hand pressure. Do you guys think this system will work? The pipe was bought used and came with no mounts. Please ignore the filthy bike, its raining here and I had to test it, I only went like 15 miles but I love it.
