Can anyone tell me if I have my heads ported and dont do anything else besides the standard mods I already have ( exhaust, intake, race ecm) will I see a difference that will make this type of work worthwhile performance wise? Or is it a waste if I am not upgrading my cam, etc...? Also what am I looking at paying for a port/polish job on my heads and will this work void my warranty? What would the average net gain in hp/tq gain be with this work? Thanks for the help. John

Your best bet is to call the experts that really know and also sponsor our little Buell Enthusiasts' forum here, like the folks at Cycle-Rama or Revolution Performance.

ported heads might flow more air than the race ECM is adjusted for. Thus you'll need sometype of powercommander system. ie headaches..

Just ride and enjoy the bike!

Headwork is probably the easiest horsepower you can get.

Keeping the heads bone stock, typically no matter what else you do horsepower will probably never break the mid to high 90's.

Mine are stock and that's where I'm at with some serious midrange grunt. I'm going to wait 'till the next top end rebuild to get the heads ported. They were new so I may as well wear 'em out first.
