I have had this happen here and there but seems to be happening a little more frequently lately. what causes this. What is the fix? Some old harley guys say its normal and common for this carb and some say you can tune that carb so it won't happen. Whats the story? Will this cause damage? Thanks for the help. 99 M2

I have this happen to me on my XB once in a while when reving up and down too much when behind an idiot that can't navigate an intersection. One big pop through the air box, then it is fine.

Personally...I'd call it abby-normal and look to resolve. Some "old Harley guys" simply want loud pipes and anything else ..well..just comes with the 'snortin', kickin', hell raisin'" territory.

Correct jetting? Look at the top of this section for jet recommendations, check timing, plugs, wires...simple stuff first.

I noticed I got the same thing in my 05 xb12scg. It will pop sometimes when reving the motor a little bit.
I only have 60 miles on the motor too.
I did a search and couldnt find much. Maybe im just blind.
