Quick question. I just bought a 95 S2 that has a Supertrapp on it. I'm guessing it's not the recall unit. Should I be concerned? The pipe isn't showing any signs of wear/cracking. Any recommendations on another slip-on for the bike if I decide to replace it before it develops a problem? Any tell-tale signs I should be on the lookout for? Thanks.

Philly,

I just finished replacing my V&H on my M2 with the new Buell (aka Supperrttrrapp) Pro series. Don't bother with anything else. 13 disks and this thing rocks!

Lee,
Unfortunately there is no Supertrapp IDS available for S2s. It won't work.

Discussion I found on the IDS was it had an adaptor that necks it down to 2 inches for the collector. Could be wrong. I was wondering if there is a decent slip-on unit that fits the 95 S2s, since everything I've found lists for 96 and up.

I am running the V&H since this seems to be one of the only pipes left for S2s anymore. The 95 and 96 S2s are identical as far as slip ons go.

I have seen an S2 with the Borla. Don't know if it fit out of the box, or if it's still available.

Phillyblast: If your S2 has one of the cone shaped Supertrapp mufflers, the rear strap (welded to the muffler) will break eventually.

Thanks everyone. Looks like muffler replacement gets added to the list. Safety wire seems a pretty good idea for the time being.
