Ive searched the archives and cant come up with anything on this...
I have a vance and hines slip-on on my 95 s2 and with the current mount, it hits the case drain screw. WHAT GIVES!
i had to use long screws and nuts to get it to work but this is not going to work long cause its hanging.... (im not even going to try to ride like this)
what has everyone done to remedy this???
a different rear mount? thats the only possible solution i an assuming short of fabricating my own mount...
if so is V&H supplying this?

Help me here guys...
do they make a race header or a 2.5 " header for a 95 s2? if so, has anyone used it?
has anyone had a problem with their vance and hines slipon for a 95 s2 not fit right? mine doesnt match up with the mount or something, it hits the case drain screw...it looks like the rear bracket is too short...by about 1/2", its an older discontinued ss2r muffler...so says v&h, but they say it should fit. im lost on this one
any thoughts on this?

Jason: To answer your questions:1 yes a 2 1/2" colector pipe will work as long as it is 95-98.(hint:) don't use the tie bar set up. 2: I also have had a problem with fitment of the V&H mufler. At first I just tightened it down but over 100 miles or so it losens the plug. So I've made a spacer plate between the muffler "U" braket and the muffler. It is just a piece of flat stock the same width of the bracket. You need a 1/4 inch longer bolts but it seems to work good so far. I've put a S1 header on my bike and it doesn't fit as good as the stock S2 header. I'm not sure if the race header is any better fitting or not. Hope that helps.
