So hopefully someone here can provide an answer I need.

The bike starts fine. It idles fine. If it's cold you can sort of ride it okay. As it warms up it doesn't run right. You can stop at a light and it idles fine. As you start to go it runs really rough, as if it's skipping. Thanks to my O2 gauge I can see that it's running REALLY lean. It's not as bad if you can get it up past 3500rpms.

I've got a PCIII and the 4 wire O2 sensor. I've got the gauge hooked to it so I know roughly what the A/F ratio is. At idle it's fine (.888, about 13.5), but when I start to go the readout drops to .0##, which means it's SERIOUSLY lean. I can also tell the bike is running hotter than normal, which also indicates that it's really lean.

So where do I start? Could the O2 sensor be bad? I wouldn't think so since I'm getting a decent reading at idle.

From what I can gather this is only happening during the closed loop portion of the ECM. Maybe the TPS went? The whole ride home after the dump the bike seemed to be okay, but I was running on the interstate at higher RPMs. It wasn't until after I got off the interstate and putzed through town when I noticed this problem.

I do not get any check engine lights...but with the PCIII I wasn't sure if it would since it connects between the 4 wire O2 and the bike's O2 connection.

Well, the problem is fixed. I took off all the airbox cover pieces and checked the connections - they all seemed fine, except maybe the hi perf. O2 sensor - it wasn't unclipped, but it moved about a mm or two when I squeezed it. The wiring to it was also a little taught. I shifted it to a slightly different location (after squeezing it together) and plugged the air temp sensor in and went for a quick ride (now that must have looked funny - going down the road with no airbox cover). Initial test seemed fine and sure enough - the bike is back together and I rode it to work today - everything is working normal.

Of course my Technoresearch software decided to act up and wouldn't connect to the bike so I couldn't run diagnostics on anything.

I think I wasn't getting any CEL because of the PCIII feeding the O2 wire to the bike a signal anyway, no matter what the 4 wire O2 sensor was reading.

Thanks for all the input!

No problem. As more people seem to be putting PCIII's on I figured we're going to run into little gremlins like this.

Bike still runs great...
