Last week I finally made it to dyno my bike.
It is a 2005 XB12R with 3500 miles on it.
Mods: Hillbilly-Motors-Motors RaceKit.
Because the Air-fuel ratio wasn't working I couldn't find the best settings for the TFI.
I have no charts before the mods, so I don't know how much more hp I have, but the curves look good to me.

First runs: TFI 0,0,0,7.30, test was from 3k rpm

firsthp

firsttq

after playing with the TFI, we got the settings 0,6,6.30,8.30. Because it is running rich under 3k I think port 2 will be adjusted down.
Test was from 2k rpm

secondhp

secondtq

During the tests, many of the employees came in to see and hear the exhaust from close by(heared many uhhs and ahhs). At the end not to much oxigen was left in the room, my clothes are still smelling like exhaust fumes.

Why are the graphs so bouncy. I would think they should be nice and smooth. I wouldn't count on any of those readings as the peaks are blips on the graph. The max torque readings are also on a little peak which is not right. I wonder if the operator was fully qualified to run the dyno.

Thunder,

I agree. Either the operator was having issues or the dyno isn't running right. I'd take it back or to another shop to run it again for comparison. The only thing to remember is that if the operator is really good, they can make that dyno read what ever they want. I have seen it where a guy ran a basically stock softail (exhaust and carb re-jet) on a dyno and got several different readings depending on how he "played" with the machine.

Speed shifting will produce a major torque peak at the rear wheel when upshifting. Ignore the peak number but consider the smoother more conventional looking part of the curves as good data.

That is simply all gear runs overlaying a 4th gear roll on. Using 5th gear for the roll on would've shown a few more HP. The dyno operator wasn't smooth with the shifts as Blake mentioned.
