The 2006 demos I rode seemed to have far improved seats over '04 & '05. Can anyone confirm / debunk this theory of mine. Daves: are the part #'s different?

I sat on an 06' Ss long last week and its seat is better. Out side material seemed the same though.

I don't know about '06 seats but my '05 seat (on my firebolt) was WAY better than the '04 seat. After 60 miles on the '04 seat i was hurt, but ive done 550 mile days on the new bike no prob.

I read someplace that the seat on the Uly was designed using some sort of pressure profile measuring instrumentation/software. Maybe this applies to all the other 06 bikes as well.

Nice to meet you Bob....I hear you work for Buell. That's really cool. What do you do... design and test ride new models?

Uh...well...sort of....I wrote the software that models people's butts on motorcycle seats.

For the XB12SS Lightning Long - anyone know if there is a LOW Select Seat in the works? Want to get my butt/flatfeet closer to assphalt here in nyc, 29-30" inseam.. Also, what is the intent of the 'V' cutout feature running down the middle of the passenger part of the seat?

LOL...I think it's just logic...your tailbone doesn't really touch if you're leaning a little forward.

To direct water directly under your rump? Or taking a note from mtb/road bike seat manufactureres that it helps to relieve pressure off of certain parts on a person. But then they might have done it the whole way to help relive pressure on rider too not just passenger. There was talk for a few years that too much time in a bicycle seat caused impotency. I don't know but I rode mountain bikes for 10 years and have two kids now. Who knows?

So when it is raining you will have a direct flow of water into your crack. this will help keep you aware of the cagers in the immediate area.

I've had the stock low seat, the CityX and the Corbin. They all eventually end up being a pain in the with the CityX holding out the longest

I have a deposit on a an 06'XB9SX - Regarding some seat options for an 06'XB9SX: I have read a variety of things about the Corbin seat and the Buell Select seat and I am trying to get some of the facts straight. On the Corbin site, they say that the gunfighter seat height is approx 29.5" and I have read elsewhere that it is higher than the stock XBS seat (around 30.1").
I would like the seat height to be at around 30" or less, along with having a seat that will fit the bike properly. I have heard conflicting things about the fit and the height of the Corbin. I have heard good things about the Select seat, but have also heard conflicting info about the Height of the Select seat as well.

Does anyone have info on what the seat heights (Corbin & Select) would be on a stock 06' XB9SX, and if in fact the Corbin does not fit properly?

THERE IS FINALLY A SELECT LOW SEAT!!! it lowers it by 1" and looks 100X better in my opinion. Just released on Buell's website! I'm gonna get one myself.

I’m interested in reviews/impressions of the Select Seat for XBs. I did a BWB search and found many posts on Corbin seats but not much on the Select Seat. Anyone have one? Likes/dislikes?

Thanks,
Foster

I didn't find the Select Low seat. Just the Select Seat OR the low seat. Do you have a link to it?
