So, I've noticed lately my cam gears have a slight whine. I installed them according to Andrews instructions, which seemed a bit arcane. They should be ok according to those instructions, but my valve train has become eerily quite whilst she's breaking in and I'm noticing this more. It gets slightly louder as the motor heats up. The guys here tell me it's ok, but I'm a little worried. I've seen what exploded cam gears can do. I called Andrews for advice but I've yet to hear back.

Anyone know what size pinion gear was used in early ('96-'97) Lightnings? I thought I read somewhere that they went with the smallest size stock. I didn't see any paint dot on mine. Any info would be appreciated.
