Hi, just bought a 97 S1, very good condition, love it. Have only run it 75 miles...I have a full tank of gas, I was stalling repeatedly, and it would not start. Looked at fuel valve, it was in the "on" position. Turned it to "reserve" and it started up and drove fine after that. Have not performed the flow rate test as described in these posts, but just wondering if anyone could share knowledge of the stock valves and this sort of historical occurance.... thanks

Check to see that what you think is the ON position is when the long tongue of the petcock is pointing aft in a sort of swept back fashion.

Also check that the screen in the petcock isn't clogged with junk, and that the condition doesn't go away when you remove the fuel cap.
