Screaming Eagle has just come out with forged 10.5:1 pistons for '04 later 1200's that should work well for built XB's as well.

Maybe most people won't care but I'm pretty excited. There's a couple new performance options available from H-D Screaming Eagle. One is the XB/XL style heads with a 55cc combustion chamber, the other is a new high performance cam. It has .575" lift, 260 degrees duration on intake and 266 on exhaust. The intake close point is 52 degrees. Seems like an awesome compromise between some of the aftermarket cams currently available. The new heads combined with the forged pistons yields a 11.3:1 static compression ratio.

Of course, all this comes out right after I've built my engine. No problem, though...maybe next time.

Yes. They have a smaller combustion chamber and the valve guide bosses are a little more streamlined. The heads give a 10.5:1 CR with flat tops.
