the 2000 x1 I bought has had some upgrades done, such as xb heads, different cams, lifters, and push rods. The person who did the upgrades reprogrammed the ecm, as he was an engineer @ H/D. He also did some modifications to the slip on, which I think is a buell pro series. I am wanting the loudest slip on and wanting to know if I will have to have any reprogramming to my ecm if I change it. any information on which slip on would be best would be great.

D&D. Excellent pipe, loudest of all the slip-ons to my knowledge, sounds great (throaty and when you get on the gas under load, especially at around 4K, the thing is unbelievable) and is an excellent midrange pipe without sacrificing any top end. The normal midrange torque dip for the FI bikes is more than erased. I'm so happy with the one on my 02 S3T that I just picked up another one for the M2. I can't wait to see what it does for that bike with the more low end cams.

I don't know what reprogramming the guy did the to ECM, but my bike is running just fine with the race ECM but I'm not running anything like XB heads or different cams.

SJ...If you can post a pic of the bike, I will take it to a few friends of mine and see if I can get some info on your bike's ECM and Engine Mods. If you want, send them to my email address NevCo1@aol.com and include any questions you have about the bike.

Pics of the entire bike (both sides) as well as detail shots of any non-stock stuff including the underseat ECM will help. I know a lot of engineers that work on the Buell engines and I should be able to get in touch with either the prior owner or the folks that may have helped him build the bike.

Uwgriz is 100% correct. His bike is the loudest Buell I have ever heard. Heck, we didn't even need to watch to know where he was on the track at Blackhawk Farms.
