I talked to someone at the factory today and he informed me that there will be Buells racing at Road America on April 23rd and 24th! The 23rd looks like a CCS day The 24th will be Formula USA. I don't know if I will be able to make it(depends on Kandie's schedule) but wanted to let everyone know about it. Go cheer the Buells on! | ||

Dana, yup, that's a timing cover. But what I'd *REALLY* like is the original vector(Coreldraw, Adobe illustrator, etc..) file. So I can clean it up, anti-alias the edges and such so it's more suitable to embossing on a surface. Is it possible for you to get me this? My plan is to make a batch of both BrewCity and belle timing covers. Maybe 10-15 of each. I already have the vector file for BrewCity thanks to Koz. | ||

Steve, I would take a timing cover. Needs to be for a big twin though. I think they are the same size, just the holes are at the 3 & 9 position. | ||

The big twins & the sportys have 2 different mounting positions. Sportys were 12 & 6 while Big twins are 3 & 9. Maybe the XB's are different? | ||

IIRC, the XB is the same as the Sportys always have been. Now the "cover" that's on Buells is riveted at 3 & 9. But the screw holes are at 12 & 6. | ||

Maybe folks who have them mounted at 3 & 6 simply used bolts thru the thin metal plate thats behind the cover instead of into the timing lockdown bolts? It is possible to do it either way.   | ||

Grape, I-94 to highway 158 then east, go all the way to the lake & take a left. Bout 2 long blocks you will come to a stoplight. Boathouse is right there on the North east corner. |
