Well I didnt ride up there, but when I got home my New Enough package was waiting for me. Opened it up & threw on my new Teknic jacket, the pants I got last week & went for a short..abotu 10 mile ride on the R1. Dressed exactly like I would for a track day | ||

I went riding today. WOO HOO! / BURRR RRR RR r...  <-- thats what I looked like when I got home. Sorry I didn't make the open house. I started up there on the bike, made it to 173 before my nose froze shut, turned around, went home and took a nap. I guess its true, winter really is here. Good time to hibernate seeing we don't get snow anymore. BTW as ya's can see over there <-- my user name changed. I tried several different usernames but apparently all the good names have been taken. I felt this one actually fit pretty well though. The idea popped into my head about a week ago. a few people at work call me Orville because If I'm not on a bike or at work I'm usually trying to make something fly. So I guess it fits. It's better than Newguy anyway. I'll post a new pic as soon as I figure out how small I have to make the file for them to accept it. | ||

Wingnut, to get you up to speed on one trip planned for next year, Braggin' at the Dragon 2005 WILL be held July 30th thru August 6th. Fontana Village is the "Headquarters" so to speak. Jason, Heather and Greg (Dyna) I believe are 90.5% sure they will attend( at least I hope). Got a pretty good feedback from Badweb members that want to go also. I hope more Club members will be able to make it too. I know you're all about the riding and if you've never been there I KNOW you'll love it. It kick serious @ss. It would be great if you could make it, if even only for part of the time. But the whole time would be better! Just thought I'd let you know. If you aren't aware of it, go to www.tailofthedragon.com. And also if you join the "Dragon Slayers Club" though Fontana, you get a 25% discount on rooms and a 15% discount on Cabins. Not bad and the membership if free. And the prices in general there are very reasonable. I have to thank Bomber for the inside info. | ||

I should be able to do anything I want this summer. My job is still here & it looks like the last of the 3 lines left wont be out until april. So I will be employed until then. As of now I have decided not to take the job transfer to Madison basically because the offer sucked. If they come back & offer more $$ & more vacation then I may take em up on it for short term. But the way it looks now after april I will be on unemployment & have nothing to do but attend school & ride my bike. I can live with that | ||

Hmm, who knows after Daytona I may be able to hit Laconia, Deals Gap & Sturgis this year. Might even take a little ride out to Kali for the moto GP races. Nothing but time on my hands & all it costs is a little gas money. I can dumpster dive at McDonalds to save some $$. | ||

Dyna...If you haven't done so already, check out the displaced workers educational program via the unemployment office and your local JC. A riding buddy is graduating tops in his class as a paralegal a semester early on Dec 22nd and has a number of excellent offers. Sort of hard to think of a hardcore biker named Hoss to have excelled at this sort of thing, but those of us that have helped support him for the last 18 months are very proud of what he has done with himself in his really late 40's. | ||

I contacted them but was told that since I still had a job right now with no definite end date there wasnt much they could do right now. Already talked to the wife about it & im applying for a few grants, will see how that turns out. If all goes as I hope I may not be working for the next 18 months-2 years. But after that I should be able to write my own ticket for where ever I want. | ||
