So, who went shopping today... On their bike? My nephew sat in line since 11:00PM last night at Best Buy. Me wanting a $39 160 gig HD, and a couple of Epson printer/scanner/copier combos for $50, I rode my S3T there at 4:30AM and skipped in line with my nephew. it was 31 degrees out. Parking was great. Rode right up to the doors and parked there Also nice getting out of the parking lot on the bike, passing cars that I couldn't have gotten past with my truck. that were fighting over precious parking spots. As much as CJ seems to like to "power shop" I doubt she would have done what i did at 4:30AM | ||

I had to go into work for about an hour. So I stopped at Office Max to try and get a $40 DVD Burner. Showed up at 7:20 line was around the store and they were sold out already. Oh well, I will wait until after x-mas when everyone is clearing out overstock items! | ||

As you can tell by how much we paid for all those bikes we have, I am a pretty frugal person. Especially when it comes to computer stuff. I watch 3 or 4 tech deal sites almost on an hourly basis looking for deals and such(along with Ebay for Buell parts, just to feed my addiction ). If anyone ever needs computer stuff, ask me, I can usually find the best prices.  It helps to have RoadRunner at work too | ||

I got the idea a long time ago that you were frugal Steve.....I wish I had been when I was in my early 20's. It would help a lot right now! Computer Question: Any advantage or reason I should get a 16x DVD Burner over an 8x? Is the double layering the more important factor? What about dual format? Thanks. No CJ, I was thinking more like 5-8 years ago. You know when I was 20, 21 around then. I had a lot of fun and didn't stop myself from going anywhere that I wanted to meet up with friends. Problem is that Mr. Visa and Mr. Mastercard were footing the bill. Still paying for some of that fun. | ||

The only reason for getting the double layer, is computer storage itself. No current DVD players can read the double layer DVDs burnt by those drives. 16x vs 8x... 8x is still pretty darn fast. Burns a full DVD in like 15 minutes. | ||
