Not sure. May take the HD instead. Tires on the R1 would be fine for the trip & track day. Little over 2000 miles on them now & just starting to see the center getting a little more worn than the sides. | ||

The Slimey Crud Run this Sunday Who's going for sure? Which way are you coming in from? Want to meet up with other heading in from the same direction? Our plan is the same. Leave Appleton at 8:30 sharp, ride to the Starbucks in Madison on the south side, Monona Dr exit(about a block north on Monona, on your right hand side) we plan to be there at 10:30. We will leave at 11:00 to ride out to Pine Bluff,eta is 11:30-12:00 Probably hang out in Pine Bluff for 1 hour and then head to Leland. I will be packing some Buell product CDs for those of you that don't already have one and to hand out to the unsuspecting! So, one last time, who's going? Who's meeting us in Madison? Who's meeting us in Pine Bluff? Who's meeting us in Leland? Please go to the thread in the Quickboard to reply. PS There are still openings for the track day at Blackhawk on Monday the 4th. Pretty good meeting tonight.Rocket seems to have taken the Bull by the horns with the news letter.We have settled on a cookout date....October 16th at Jason's this year,yes Hellion your crib.We have also touched base on X-mas party which the where and when we will know shortly.Also NN has done a fine job with the T-shirt's and we will be getting shirts done very quickly.All and all it was we seemed to get some things done. | ||

Alright, here's the skinny on the karting. They're faxing me a contract right now to set up for the group deal. For a group, we need 6 drivers. We arrive there at 8:00pm, have a briefing and then suit up to race. The group deal gets us four races for $70. If we don't have six people, four races would cost $110 on a Saturday and we wouldn't be scored specifically in our group. So far, we have me, two friends of mine, Rocco, Greg and Dana as a possible. That's five for sure with maybe six. I need a commitment from everybody by tomorrow at noon or we lose our spot. The format goes like this: Three qualifying heats with each driver starting once at the front, middle and back of the pack. These heats determine starting position for the feature race. The winner of the feature gets the bragging rights for the group. You can bring your own helmet or they have them there. You'll also have a headsock, neck collar and fire suit provided. | ||
