Matthew! It'll be an unlikely long-shot for me to make it, but- if you care to split that room, I'm interested... No as an answer is OK too. I did have a good time riding with you at Glitchfest, plus that tasty BBQ we found... it'd be good to catch up with ya if I can work it out. Thought about you the other day, finally picked up a bottle of Maker's Mark 46 to try... pretty good, not quite what you let me sample last year.  | ||

Are you going Hughlysses? If I go, and I'm leaning hard, I'd have to head home on Sunday morning, the 18th. I have another get together later that same week in the same general area, eastern Tenn., on my Indian, so I'd have to make the two day ride home, get my Indian and head back. Would leaving on Sunday morning be missing most of the get together? When does it start, Friday evening? Thanks. | ||

Yea, I plan on being there. These meets generally get into full-swing on Friday. Some people show up the day before, some people roll in mid-day, some people roll in Friday night, and some people don't get there until Saturday morning. Saturday is when most of the riding occurs. By mid-day Sunday, most people have cleared out. | ||

The BBQ joint is definitely part of the game plan for Saturday, and fine bourbons are most certainly on the menu at the lodge. Hope you make it, my wife will be with me and she's looking forward to meeting people. I've got a question... is Glitch going to make an appearance? | ||

Brad, Indian has two get togethers/rides this year. One in Sedona, Arizona in late September and one in Tenn. on Oct 22-23. The Arizona ride is already booked up and the Tenn. ride will be booked very soon. You need to register soon if interested. There will be a get together on the evening of the 22nd and a meandering ride from Murfreesboro to Lynchburg on the 22nd. A tour of the Jack Daniel's distillery and a barbecue lunch that is supposedly fabulous will follow. I wish there was a week between these two get togethers but it is what it is and it's doable.  | ||

Bueller- I won't make that shindig. I was thinking you were heading to E. TN... I grew up in Nashville, but have been in the Knoxville area since '90. Nashvegas has a LOT to offer if you're passing thru, but the tour you're going on sounds pretty comprehensive. If I can advise, holler. Otherwise, the Nashville Scene generally has the goings-on listed. Have Fun! | ||

I signed up, and paid, for the Indian ride some time ago so I'll definitely make that one. With it being right after the Buell get together, and a number of other things going on, the Buell get together is iffy. We'll see. | ||

Ok youse guys, today I passed my Canadian motorcycle test, so I can now legally ride the Guzzi wherever my little heart desires. I've booked a cabin at TWO for Friday 16th and Saturday 7th & arranged work to be able to attend. Sooo, I'll be kicking off from here on the Thursday morning & hossing the Stelvio southbound for it's first long haul. Anybody who fancies meeting up on the way down drop me a line and we'll see what we can set up. I'll also have a spare bed in the cabin if anyone needs a roof. (wealthy nymphomaniacs get preference) See y'all soon. I've posted this on the Quickboard thread too, So what's the haps is the gig still on? | ||

I am making plans to go. I suppose I could host a lay over camp out Thursday evening as I have in the past. At this time I have to work Friday, but hey.....I would not let that get in the way of y'all having a good meal and a rest, then get up for a Friday am ride to Suches. I'd be heading down Friday evening. For those wondering.....we are located just East of Knoxville. Let me know if ya want to do it, and I can have a camp fire and some vittles ready for ya!  | ||

DANG it!!! As soon as I put in my time off request, the system showed that I was 6 of 6, 7 of 7, and 11 of 11 already asking off any of the three days! Plus, it's a "bye" weekend for the Vols, so I have no idea why so many others are asking off besides me... Things aren't looking too good for me to attend... the best I can hope for is a day to ride south, maybe down 68 to the border, or maybe just a Cherohala/Dragon loop... that'll probably be the idea. Leaves will be pretty nice! | ||

Is anybody staying at C3? BIC (her term, not mine!) Kristi and Carlos will not be able to make it, so no C3 AFAIK. Not sure if I'll make it yet. Hell, at this point, I'm not sure there'll be a way to even get there from where I live. Several major roads are cut and others are threatened by flooding and are currently closed. If we don't lose a major bridge or two it'll be a miracle. | ||

We're doing better. My bone is healed, I'm just having to work on getting range of motion back. I've been taking the Uly out some. Feels good to ride again. | ||

Great news, buddy! Sounds like your road couch got the worst of it, which is as good and proper as things get in the scheme of things... here's hoping the bike "heals" properly too! Looks like I'm locked into my shifts to work this weekend, DANGIT. | ||

My lady and I and our Buell friends from Charleston will be there Saturday. I've been called the fast guy at the Dragon event (now I don't know about that) but I'll probably be the slow guy at Buelltoberfest. LOL, I don't care, I'm just thankful to be able to ride. | ||

Well, I believe this event was an unmitigated success, and a good time was had by all. Next year, I promise it will be a little bit more organized. T-shirts! I'm saying that right now, so it's a thing! I will take responsibility for it and make sure it happens.  | ||

Pwnzor, When I showed up at my friends house the first thing we did for food was go to Jim's BBQ. Love those ribs! When you guys said you went to get BBQ I was hoping that's where you went. Had a great time talking with everybody and thanks for sharing the single barrel on Saturday! Looking forward to next year and being able to actually ride with everyone.  |
