Kind of like TWF (Two Wheel Friday) except that more people usually show up on Tuesday nights than on Friday afternoon. I'm always about 3 days late. |

My brother(the one on the old Harley Superglide that was with me last Sat.) is the one getting it. He *NEVER* thought he'd be riding a "crotch rocket" But he rode my bike about 3 weeks ago for the 1st time, and said something to the effect of "The most fun I've ever had on a bike". And for $3200, how can ya go wrong for an S3T? |

The enthusiasm is contagious, I used to ride on a Harley and would have never thought I'd ride a Buell, never even knew what it was !! Your brother will LOVE it !!! CJ |

I know he'll love it. He, for the 1st time, asked to borrow my bike Sunday. He rode all over the place on it. Only had 2 complaints. The bars are too low(I've got standard S3, rather than the taller S3T bars on it currently), and the seat sucks. I'm gonna switch over the bars tonight, since I got my new Gel grips today from American Sport Bike. WoohooO! |

Local Riding Conditions: Did a couple hundred mile run today and wish to report that the roads in the Southern Kettle (Eagle area) are in good shape with just a tad of gravel in a few turns. The Northern Kettle (Holy Hill area) is in poor condition. Lots of sand, gravel and even oil (2 different locations) in the turns. These conditions are above and beyond the usual Tar Snake hazards we get this time of year. Bottom line is be extra cautious if you are planning on running the twisties near Holy Hill. You may want to ride through slow the first time and make not of where the hazards are. |

Faster - The Movie: Anyone have any info for the showing(s) at the Oriental? All I could find is that it's playing starting Friday, Sept. 10th. There weren't any run dates or show times on either Fastermovie.com or the Oriental Theater's website. |

Just a word of caution... Did the Holy Hill area again today. Lots of deer, wild turkey's and little furry things that go squish all over the place plus the usual gravel, sand and some oil. Additionally, temps were in the mid 60's today and the tar snakes were still slippery. Go figure? Be careful and do a ride through to check conditions before you go whipping through there. The life you save may be your own. |

Damn!!! I log in and the counter says there have been over 10,000 posts since your last log in. I can't even begin to try and catch up. No BADWEB access at work SUCKS!! I hope all has been well with everyone. Diane and I have been busy keeping up with Rachel. She is doing great and growing everyday. I'll post some pictures sometime soon. I can't believe she is the same little girl that we brought home just 2 months ago. If Rachel is cooperating, maybe I can get Diane to bring her to the meeting for a little while. Just a reminder that Brew City will be having their monthly meeting tomorrow at 7:00p.m. at Hal's. Make sure your in the doors by 7. We will be discussing the Fall Slimy Crud Run and various other topics. If anyone is interested in writing for the 3rd quarter newsletter or has some pictures from the House on the Rock, or Appleton sportbike day let me know. Should be a short and sweet meeting followed by a ride to wherever we want. Jerry |

R1, and everyone else who was at tonight's meeting. It was REALLY good to meet ya-all. I gotta remember to bring my camera to meetings and such, so I can post pics to show what fun the other Bueller's in the area are missing. A funny thing was, when I got home, and sat down for dinner, my wife said she heard "a bunch of bikes, and one sounded like mine go by at around 8". I laughed, and told her that *WAS* us That race pipe+muffler makes a very distinct sound. I really hope to do a lot of riding with you guys(and CJ ) in the future. You sound like a fun group. Good to hear you didn't freeze your "weasels" off tonight I too almost didn't wear a jacket this evening. |

Intriguing??? Yeah, if it weren't on a Sunday evening that far from home. Actually, when you consider Chicago's semi-enforced noise abatement program, it sounds more like an event staged by the Revenuer's to get the City out of debt. LOL |

Have never had an issue with the noise cops there, in fact I have seriously rapped the pipes downtown & the cops dont even flinch. Now Fox lake is a whole nother story. |

Actually, when you consider Chicago's semi-enforced noise abatement program Dont believe everything you read on the internet Bill, i have lived downtown, owned all kinds of bikes, every single one had a pipe, everyone was riden in the loop, n,e,w,s,side, all were loud to one degree or another, some didnt have a pipe for one reason or another, never, and i mean never got a ticket, but i never did stupid things in front of cops, and as a general rule cops dont mess with everyday people in the city, true story: Driving down western ave, before i moved there, i was actually going home after a very stressfull day of trying to buy my current home, blew a red light in front of a cop, i was stoped ask why, told to not do such stupid things in front of cops, BUT since the car was in order, all forms in order and i treated the officer with the respect he deserved for doing a job i wouldnt even consider, i was let go with a slap on the wrist, and i mean he made me hold my hands out and slapped me on the wrist, Ingrid thought it was to funny, and i have yet to hear the end of it Little know fact about Chicago police officers, did you know, the area you serve in, you must live in, so would you want to give your neighbor a ticket??????Makes for nicer cops, and they treat people how they deserve to be treated (most of the time) R Oh but dont get me started on officers outside the city, that my freind is a different story all together R |
