Short notice but just heard about MC dirt track racing Saturday February 4th, at the Pasadena Convention Center. Practice 10-11, 12-1, races start at 2PM. General admission is only $10, $35 for pitpass. No parking fee. This is indoors so the event will happen rain or shine. I spoke to promoter that says it's the first time they have ever had MC dirt track racing in Pasadena and if there is a good turn out they plan to keep doing it. There is also mini sprint cars. So I went to the dirt track races today and it was a blast. Moto GP's Colin Edward was there supporting his two son's that were racing and about six or so of his students from his race school. His little boy (only about 5 years old) rode the crap out of the little KTM 50 two stroke and just missed first place in the finals by about 1". Another son placed first in the sprint car class he was driving in. I was the only person that rode a bike there today. There is another race from this series comming up in Conroe on February 14th. | ||

Hey Houston Buellers. How about a meet-up gathering to ride somewhere to eat at someplace with good food of course. Some weekend in the not to distant future. We could plan a central location to meet-up and ride to somewhere with food. I'm open for suggestions on date, time and place.  | ||

Hey guys. Still riding my 05 XB12Scg (R-front conversion) around Houston. Never see Buells on the street here anymore. Used to know a guy over in Pasadena I would make a Galveston run with once in a while, but we lost touch. Any of you still active? Shoot me a PM sometime and let's get a few Buellers together. Well, I'll bite. Have recently picked up an '00 X1 that has been quite the learning. Yes, she's not perfect, but I'm ok with that. I can learn to get her there. West side of town here (think Energy Corridor area) but always looking to ride. Also have a chopped up honda shadow spirit 750 that is my ride until the X1 is running strong | ||

I'm in League City. The Cruz Night is at the neighboring city Kemah. Since most of you are going to be in other parts of Houston, I could meet up for lunch at a more central location. Maybe ride country roads West of town and down toward Galveston and then head over to Kemah at sundown. | ||

If it's not running, I'd be willing to hop on the road with yall on the Honda if it wouldn't offend to have a foreign cruiser in the crowd (it'd just make the Buells look that much better, eh?) | ||

The idea of a meet-up and ride before the Cruz Night didn't stick but I still plan to go to Cruz Night and visit Buellistic from Florida. Tommorow/today, Sat Dec 21st 5:30PM to 9PM. It's across the street from the Kemah Boardwalk at the Home Depot on Hwy 146 and FM2094(also called Marina Bay Drive), Kemah TX. Right behind the Chick-Fil-A. | ||

I need to dig the S2 out and get her cleaned up one of these days. Poor thing has sat in the garage since I blew up my spine. Might do that this spring. With the right back brace I might even be able to ride a few miles. | ||

Sounds good. There is a guy in the Angleton area (Sagehawk) who certainly won't oppose to going for a ride every now and then though it is a bit of a trek for him to come up this way. There is also another guy in the Humble / Atascocita area whom I have yet to ride or meetup with, though we have exchanged some emails. Maybe we can arrange a ride or at least a little meet and greet or something for everyone in the near future. |
