Dang, I wasted an entire weekend playing "LawnBoy." Oh well, looks like I have a week of beautiful weather to go strafe the countryside. I like it better that way as traffic and the LEO's are at their lowest levels.  | ||

Sounds like a severe case of "Downed Bike Syndrome" to me. Actually it's more of a case of having a lot planned for August syndrome which will be followed by a case of going back to school in September. I haven't posted anything on the other forums I visit at all for the last 2 months. The WWW is getting less and less attention from me. | ||

Some folks show up a LuLu's cafe and bar near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and hwy-32. Other folks show up at the Culver's parking lot just off Capitol Drive near or on 124th I think. Some still attempt to show up on Brady Street. A few weeks ago we stopped in at some Mexican restaurant near Brady street and they had a sign in the window about TWT, but only one bike was out front the whole time, this was somewhere near the Milwaukee Post Office not too far from Brady Street someplace. (I just drove the car and wasn't paying attention to where I was as I was just looking for someplace to get some dinner.) There are probably a few other locations where riders congregate. Catch up with Dyna if you can, he'll know where the current spot is if anyone does. It's not so much an event as it is a gathering, a gathering of somewhat like-minded folks with an interest in bikes. Kind of like the Slimey Crud Run, only different. I'm feeling kind of vague today, sorry, gotta go somewhere now..... | ||

Doughnut....thinking about hitting the Culvers deal tonight. Havent been there in awhile. I believe its on 124th st, just south of Capitol. Real damn close to the HD plant. Probably leave my house about 5:30 or so, be there in less than 45 minutes...barring any unforeseen traffic deals. | ||

I got there about 6:10 & hung around until 7:40 or so. Only 2 Buells showed up, an XB9R & an XB9S with some rattlecan paint job on it...weird dark blue. Lotta bikes at Culvers tonight, couple hundred easy. Lots of BMW's, quite a few old Cafe style bikes...BSA's, Nortons, Triumphs, etc. New Rocket 3 showed up, in person its actually a pretty cool bike & sounds great. Swung past Lulu's on the way home & there were maybe 8-10 bikes total there...I dont know, just seems like that place isnt catching on. Stopped at a buddies house in Bayview for a bit then headed home. Nice night for a ride. | ||

The mix of bikes at Culver's sounds like the regulars are still showing up. Sorry to hear Lulu's was light on attendance. Have you tried the Fuel Cafe lately? We used to make a food run up there from the Garage on TWT. Would think that with the moratorium in effect on Brady Street more would head in that direction. Then again, who wants to ride into the city for TWT when you can ride out to the 'burbs and enjoy a large well lit parking area, cheap food and are closer to the riding areas. We aren't talking Harley Bar-Hoppers here. LOL Dyna, how about some more advance notice so some of us can plan to do a TWT with ya? | ||

Could be something as simple as..."Meet at (Location) at (Time)and if that doesn't pan out, we will ride to the other TWT locations." Just a suggestion. At least this way, all know where to start out at. | ||

how about some more advance notice so some of us can plan to do a TWT with ya? Advance notice?? Hell I posted it the night before. Cant depend on 2 things around here. #1 is the weather, usually have to play it by ear. & #2..people. Nobody wants to commit to 5hit. Have mentioned TWT many times & so far MikeJ has ridden down while everyone else comes up with excuses on why they cant ride....not pointing fingers just saying that if you cant count on anyone to actually ever show up, then why bother going through the trouble? So far the most dependable folks for commiting to a ride & then actually showing up have been CJ, Grape, newguy, Nancy & Coolice & Jason. If they say they will be there you can count on it. Andreas work schedule screws up rides for her & Dana has to bar deal..although he needs to delegate more so he can ride more  I post the time & where the deal is, if folks show up fine...if not thats fine too. | ||

I couldn't make it, I promised the evening before to work late with a fellow employee. OSHA rules and all... Lets try something for next Tues? Weather permitting? Now if only I could get that gol darn Blast running (argh!), my wife will ride too | ||

Dyna...I knew that. What I meant was next time just post a location and time to meet. If that place is dead, move along en masse until you find some action. Wouldn't be that difficult to start out at say Lulu's and then hit Brady Street, the Fuel Cafe and Culver's. Incidentally, I listed them in order of convenience for you as you ride up from the south. For me I would start at Culver's and work my way to some Harley bar. LOL |
