I've got a new Buell rider in my neighborhood. Apparently he lives in the apartment complex just behind our house. I've seen him go by our house several mornings on his blue XB9R. I remember thinking last week he must be pretty hard core when he rode out on a cold, rainy morning.
I confirmed his hard-core-ness this morning when he rode past our house when it was 19 degrees F!!!

I need to buy him a beer, or maybe a cup of coffee sometime.

Well it looks like I wont be able to ride to work tomorrow or Wednesday. I have been able to ride almost everyday since I got my clutch retainer clip fixed. (by me) I hate driving my car to work. Yes I rode when it was 23 degrees out. I live in Moncks Corner and work at Hendrick Volvo in Charleston.

yes, I try to ride everyday, I'm from Indiana so we don't get to ride year round up north. we love the weather here, usually.

Nice, I will most definitely want to see one in person.I put new rubber on xb yesterday. WOW I really like these tires. Michelin road pilot 3. i have always had pilot powers but they were not very good in the rain. we will see how they handle when I get to really abuse them.}

Interesting Buell inquiry- Badwebber 1313 just won an ebay auction for a very interesting Buell- a 1998 S3T "Defender" , a factory police bike. Here are some pics from the original ebay ad:

The bike apparently was located at a used car dealer in Elko, SC (on highway 78, between Blackville and Williston, SC) for some time prior to being moved to its current location WAY up north.

1313 was just checking to see if anyone in SC had any info on the bike (maybe it was sold or serviced at Lowcountry?). If anyone has any ideas, please post up.

I hope everyone survived the recent snow and ice storms. We're still cleaning up the mess here in the lowcountry.

Hey Donald, good to hear from you.

We were without power for about 2-1/2 days. I have a small generator which kept the fridge cold the first day but after sitting overnight it wouldn't fire a lick. I pulled the carburetor and gas tank off this weekend. I cleaned the carburetor and put new parts in it. De-rusted the gas tank, put it all back together, and it fired right up, so I'm ready to go for the next ice storm.

This is what I think is a pretty big milestone announcement for our group- SC Buell Rider "Gemini" is currently headed up to Real Performance Motorsports (RPM) in Greenville to pick up his new EBR 1190RX. How cool is that?

We are moving back to North Chuck this summer after this 2-year "vacation". The new job I'm going to down at FLETC should allow for quite a bit more riding time, so I'm hoping to finally be able to meet up with you guys.
