If anybody is interested, its H-D drag night wednesday Wednesday WEDNESDAY! at da' grove. They also have a special deal going where any first timers can enter the 'fun' class for free (just need to pay gate entry....)! Can't beat that. I'm going to attempt to make it...broke 2 ribs today supermotarding (or more accurately, trying to supermotard....). Also, 2wheeltuesday at Cafe LuLu this week features the X-games supermoto event on the big screen, which was abso-frickin'-fantastic! Best racing I've ever seen. Hope to see you guys out! Greg, Here I am giving you private counciling trying to exorcise you of your negativity and you remain in complete denial. I guess if Dana read your post and deduced that you had a "good time", I may be wrong. More likely is that Dana just knows you all too well and can read between the lines. But from what I read... At least the half price admission made it a little easier to swallow. ...the trip back always suck...interstate, a little rain, etc. ...coulda done without the 4 miles of gravel they threw down in 1 section for some reason. ...they could knock off 2/3rds of the other crap in the buildings afterwards We were all getting tired & a bit overwhelmed by how much walking is involved... ...as well as just how much crap can someone collect. Frankly, upon hearing such a miserable report, I would be more inclined to help a stranger move heavy furniture into a third story loft rather than suffer through such a day. You need therapy. | ||

Therapy?? You are the one brow beating everyone into submsission that doesnt agree with your viewpoints. And you rip others for taking parts of quotes & using them out of context yet you are doing just that. Dont include the other parts I stated in some attempt to bolster your view. I think you need 420 back...although he is a •••• poor adversary. Maybe that Dr Gorpon can be lured back into the war topic? And unless you have been to the House you obviously cant comment on what we all felt. It was too much..seriously way too much. The damp musty smell in a few of the warehouses didnt help either. And 4 miles of gravel road on streetbikes isnt fun...I didnt mind it too much, but Nancy was very nervous since her close call a couple weeks ago & the wife was on the HD with the skinny 21" front tire which hates gravel. And will anyone disagree that long interstate travel sucks?? Give me a nice curvy road anyday. Hell the wife & I took 120 miles of backroads thru farm country home this morning just to avoid I-94. Added about an hr to the trip, but avoided the idiot cage drivers & the semis. | ||

BTW..I enjoyed the ride & the company that was in attendance, but could have done without the House deal. Live & learn, not everything can be A grade attraction. Had a blast afterwards picking on some of the folks leaving. Newguy actually got a headache from laughing so much..sorry dude, just couldnt stop. Note to others..the ride is great, but go thru Governor Dodge state park instead...its way better. (Message edited by dynarider on August 16, 2004) | ||

Actually I LOVED the house, but I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff !! Got me some souviners (sp?) too, I was worse than a kid, loved the whale room, bet I said "Holy Cow" about 50 times going through it !! The walk through it did get tiring, but hey we're old and need to work out more, plus I was wearing everyone out at every opportunity lining them up for "ANOTHER" photo !! LOL The ride up was great, the gravel was not fun but getting through it intact was good, we did pull over after for a minute to discuss how wicked that was !! After a great ride up, and the fun we had at the house we were all dreading the ride back on the interstate, it had gotten late and it was a long way home !! But that's what makes riding fun, the adventure of not knowing who's going, where you'll end up sometimes, how the day will go and the moments you don't expect. Like telling mike we gotta pull over cause we're COLD, he pulls into a shopping type mall cause he thought we wanted to go to KOHL's !! Now that's so cool, that he was actually willing to let us stop and shop at Kohl's after such a long day !! We ended up getting gas, putting on warmer gear, eating at McDonalds and getting hot chocolate !! The company was great, and what I did appreciate was that even though Dyna didn't care about the house that much, especially not as much as me, he went through it like a trooper !! Kept us in stitches with his antics !! go thru Governor Dodge state park instead... Sounds like another ride opportunity to me !! LOL Wes, man I hate to hear you broke your ribs !!! I admire that you keep getting up and going, hope you heal up quick !! CJ  | ||

Well, us girls decided not to go to the State Fair it was getting later in the afternoon...Fiery, Hellion and I decided to take a ride and it was a nice one !!! Then we all decided to see what we could all store in our sling bags and went grub shoppin for our cookout. Like those slings!! LOL I am glad everyone came over last night had good company and a lot of laughs. Dyna, I really enjoyed meeting and talking more with Dee last night very nice lady. Wes, Sorry to hear about your mishaps...mend well and take it easy. Wont be out on Tues. Back to work I go..Weds???possible only as a spectator anyone else want to go to the dragstrip??? Company is still weighing their options, but it looks to everyone here like Menasha is going to be the place. Thats great because thats my choice. Supposed to be having a meeting with the big wigs on the 24th. I imagine thats when they are going to announce what/where/when & who. Going to get real damn busy for me after that. | ||

CJ, I'm healing slower and slower...seriously thinking about taking up drinking instead! (just kidding....). besides, it only hurts when i breathe.... NN, cool! hope to see some ukers out there...been kind of bummed i haven't been able to make any meeting lately. M2, road racing has been crash free (knock on wood) and has been a pretty good year! This is the first year in supermotard with the dirt section however. I pretty much have at least 1 incident a weekend on the motard bike....usually its just a little dump but occasionally its worse...like Sunday! Lost the front in the dirt section at the top of a jump and went over the bars on impact. Landed on my back. very sore... Who ever thought it was a good idea to run road racing slicks in the dirt????? | ||

Anyone going to "Running the Ridge"? We have an away weekend so I might be able to go. I prefer trailering there to save some wear & tear on the body. Just looking to see if there's any interest before I pursue the logistics (i.e. work, wife, etc) | ||
