>>> Also looking forward to the meeting and being able to share in something so special to you.

Jim I've been thinking the same thing ever since I found out you were coming.... BUT, I think you'll find this whole deal has become pretty special to all of those who participate. Court gave a little insight to the Breedloves. I think once you meet all of moto-bums that show up you'll have found that long-lost second family you never knew you had. ; )

Best I can describe it... It's kinda like a big church social....

(But with better music, better cigars, more moonshine, and people don't have to stand around each other pretending they don't cuss).

Alex, if you remember that particular picture was a precursor to some attempted stunt riding by our fearless leader, Ferris. : )

Funny part about all this is when we gather we're always trying to afix the blame to someone for starting all this. I blame my Dad and Mikey for being the people they are and then shift a lot of blame to Erik Buell and Ferris. Many of us remember that it was Ferris who captured the adventurous spirit in all of us "new to Buell" riders nearly 16 years ago. Truth is he brought most of us together long before that fateful day. Hell, Hillbilly Ed named his Cyclone "Ferris's Fault". : )

Take a bow Ferris!

I'm a legend in my own mind, especially after a swaller or two (or five) of that stuff in the Mason jar.

I still think I coulda made it...

Clearing the Bronco? Yep, I'm with ya there. It was the landing on a downslope of wet grass with a fence at the bottom that scared the rest of us. In the end we all believe you made the right decision and were comfortable that you could have done it. : )

Thanks Ferris. Good call. Nat Henry is mentioned at the end of the vid. Nat was a POW in Vietnam for 5 years and 9 months. He is a true American hero and our gathering has been blessed with his presence for quite a few years now. Seems fitting that as we celebrate life, music and motorcycles we also honor those who have went before us on Memorial Day weekend no less. Carol Usher shot the segment.

Lou did some pickin' with one the Alien Twins at Big Jim's Ride in 2006:

And here's the "Mystic" at Big Jim's Ride three years ago:

Look close in the background (ya gotta squint just right, and it helps if you've dippin' in a Mason jar for several hours) and you may recognize some of the Hooligans what been a-postin' on this thread.

The twins! I sure do remember those two E.T's. They had a great adventure! They even managed to say hello to Matt, when he was still with us.

Hard to believe two little guitar picks could bring so many smiles. : )

Ferris, been away most of the day. Great call again hanging Lou's video. Where are the alien pick-twins anyway?

Jim, bring your camera but you might want to send the SD cards back on FedEx. Not sure they'll clear the TSA. ; )

Jerry and Denise made me this awesome frame a few years ago... they're in safe keeping for years to come. This has a bunch of photos with Matt's folks, Gentleman Jim, Jerry and I. Proudly hanging in the house.

Lou Usher is getting the last of his stents in today. He should be released tomorrow afternoon. Send him some prayers!

Mikey called this morning and is already getting his game on for the big weekend. I'll be in Franklin on the 21st to check in on the Sapphire Inn and go over stuff with Mike and Brian.

I am ready for this! : )

Pre-party road trip?

Let Mikey know I can stop by Clarks and pick up some BBQ sauce. I do need to give him a shout and catch up- it's been too long.

Kinda. : ) Yeah you oughta give Mikey a call. No doubt he'd get a huge kick out of the deal.

OK, I'm gonna be doing what I can to make this shindig because-

A- The 27th will be 45 years for me on this big blue marble,

B- I didn't realize Franklin was just +- 100 miles out from home, and I LOVE riding W. NC and N. GA!

FB, when you get a chance, see about a roll call- I noticed quite a few hooligans on this thread... ; )

I won't argue with Ferris but I will say this is "our" gig. We'll post roll call of BadWeBbers here in a couple of weeks.

As it stands now...

BadWeBers

Bill Kilgallon (Reepicheep, maybe Shelly)
Jim Attebery (Gentleman Jim)
Brian Huffman (Bhuff, maybe Valerie)
Alex Prior (maybe Heather)
Ferris and Denise
Jim Corso (Pdxs3t)
Wade Haughton (Fb2)
Glitch (Dave and Ann Hare)
Lou and Carol Usher
Mike Strong (Twig)
Ed Manning (Hillbilly Ed, maybe Cindy)

Maybes... or haven't heard from yet

Neil Kemp (Nevrenuf)
Jim Rainey (U4euh)
James Bryan (Oldog)
Jim Higgins (Fireman Jim)
Milo Holroyd
Henrik Bo Pedersen
Charlie Boy

Locals from Hartford City that follow BWB but do not post

Ernie DuBois
James Cornett
Randy Hymes
Rob Nuckols
Tim Dickey(now living in FL)

There's a group coming from Muncie, IN but not sure which ones yet.

Mikey is good for about 35-40 of his friends in Franklin, NC including the mayor and some of the rescue workers on scene 10 years ago. We've tossed out invites to a few riders on Adventure Rider who say they'll be there.

We'll miss Kristi and Carlos this year due to graduation and Char(Whatever) because of work.

I've always hoped Lemonchili and Vampress Kat would make it but their next trip to the US isn't until next year. Would have been cool to see Graham and Lou play on the same stage.

Truth is Squids, we really never know who or how many until we get there. Great thing is there's always surprises and I'm sure I've missed a few names. But damn, make sure you get there if you're only 100 miles away. For sure! : )

Hey all, Sorry about not keeping the thread up. It's been crazy at the Bantz ranch. Kim's Dad, George Neilsen, died a week ago today. We knew it was coming but it was unexpected because they thought he had at least another 6 months. Needless to say it changed our game plan in the short term. Cancer SUCKS!

It sounds like a lot of folks are coming in Thursday evening which should make for a good day of riding on Friday with plenty of places to go and folks to ride with.

I know of ten that I can count with a few more maybes. Everybody else should be in Friday.

Don't forget to bring a 4"x6" or 5"x7" picture of anyone you want to remember to set on our memorial table. We'll toast them during the evening.

Gonna be some new faces and some that haven't been there since the one in '03. This will be a fitting end to a chapter in our lives as riding friends. I'm really hoping someone will grab the torch and give us a good reason to gather and do a little something different.

(HINT - Ferris or Hillbilly!) ; )

Ride Safe All, JB2

Hi Jim. I will not make it this year, but I think the memorial photo collage is a really neat idea. Our fellow badwebber, Ozzie from Los Angeles lost his wife a few weeks ago to cancer and I think it would be really cool if you put a photo or two of her on it. Melanie took a cross country trip in 2010 on her Triumph Bonneville. I will send you a copy of these!!! Thanks! Have fun and BE SAFE!!!
