I'll tell ya what I'm trying to do.I've got a nice size lot that can be used on Sunday's so I had an idea to have a bike show. But instead of a bike show it would be the custom builders of southeastern Wi. competing against one another. There will be cash for first place and a traveling trophy which they will be able to have there name on it but they must return with the trophy and a bike that they built the following year to compete again. We will also have a seperate show for the HD's that anyone can enter most likely be a 1st-3rd place kind of thing. The judges will be the public. The custom builders will be able to bring litature and other bike for the public to see or purchase. What this does for everyone???The patrons that come to see this event get to see some awesome bike and have a great time, the builders get to be involved in something that may grow into something larger every year and they get to advertise and promote there biz to the public that may not know to much about who, what.and where about these bikes.Miller Brewing will be on hand with Oasis and they are also going to help us with a live remote from a radio station like 95.1 or 102.9 LAZER.We the Boiler Room will take care of advertising this locally and spreading the news to dealers,If they will let us put some type of flyer up to be visable. We will be also be sparking up the big grill outside to cook Brats and burgers.Oh and there will be Hendricks Gin in the bar for ya Bill. This is whats in the works and I have about 3 weeks to put it together, hope I can do it.

Wow...That is a neat plan. Not to mention it is adaptable to many other special interest groups. Will ping you with what I can dig up.

Anybody got anything they can send to Caralee for the newsletter?

I did a write up on the Bringing It Home Event.
Wildcat Mountain trip? Baby announcements?

Thanks
Aaron

I sent her info on the baby announcement.

Dull is going to Newfoundland so he can't get Wildcat stuff to her yet. Maybe we can e-mail Dave (led the ride) and have him e-mail her something ???

You and I went to Lambeau, but it was a Uke's trip, does that count ??

I don't see why not. It was a group ride, not necessarily something sponsored by a dealership. I will see if I have Dave's e-mail at home.

I was also thinking that maybe Daves Appleton Sport Bike Day could be put on the newsletter calendar.

Sounds like a good idea about Dave's sportbike day, I'm going !!

I'll e-mail her something about Lambeau, let her know she doesn't have to use it if she doesn't want !! Should be relevant that Dennis, an ex BCB director was our guide !!

Is anybody doing the milwaukee rally thing this week/end? I noticed they are having a super motard thing. Didn't see much else on the web site under events that would be interesting apart from possibly seeing Indian Larry in person maybe. Dunno.
bye.

I just got a call from Caralee and Hal's is looking for volunteers to help run the Buell Demo truck this weekend!

I know it is short notice but apparently Hal's didn't know the truck was coming. They are in need of ride leaders, trailers, and sign-in help. If you can help out contact:
Caralee Baxter
Hal's HD/ Buell
262-860-2060

I wish I wasn't going to Michigan this weekend.

Will be at the MKE Rally on and off all weekend long with the Tractor (er...Wide Glide). Let me know when you are going and perhaps we can meet up. Ping me and I will give you my Cel Number.

Speaking of the Milwaukee Rally which is put on by the Milwaukee area Harley Davidson dealers and was originally conceived by same to give HD riders in Wisconsin and the surrounding states a summer destination since HD bailed out to do their pre-100th on the road thing....Did anyone notice that the Main Stage is sponsored by VICTORY MOTORCYCLES????????

Thanks for helping out CJ!

I mentioned the sport bike day to Sara tonight and told her I was planning on going, and she is welcome to come.

I would like to get a small group of Brew City people together to ride up. I plan on bringing it up at the next meeting.

Ok, since nobody wants to grab the bull by the horns, I guess I will.

House on the Rock ride Aug 14th. We can meet at Ukes or someplace near Milwaukee, it makes no difference to me. I dont see any reason to have CJ or Kinger or anyone else from the north having to trek down here just so we can ride back up their way.

Route will be drawn up & it may end up looking like a route a drunken donkey would take but so what? Is anyone in a huge hurry to get anywhere?

Post here if interested & I will contact The House to see if we could get a group discount. Even if we dont, I dont care.

Meet at Hals at 9:30 for House on the Rock. Im guessing its around 120 miles or so each way from Hals. There will be a gas stop on the way.
If we took the main roads its about 2 hrs or so. But since we will be hitting a few back roads & just screwing around its going to be closer to 3.

The House is open until 7:00pm so there is no hurry.

Dull's bike is DEAD! Happens when you run an engine with no oil. He is in Gage City. Any ideas on how to get the bike home for a proper burial?

Ewwww...That is a real bummer for Dull. My condolences.

Is he going to rebuild or just buy a new engine or bike?

Where is Gage City?
