Sorry about your beloved Saints Charlie! I know how that feels after the LSU debacle. Next season I'm thinking about pulling for VT for the whole season and offering them free access to my wealth of knowledge.

Nutbag,
Where you at boy? Are you avoiding me like the herpes? I got meat so there is absolutely no need to hide. Lets hook up and do something, even if its sitting in your garage talking smack.

I've been spending much time in the man cave doing little alterations and such so the Blackline will be ready to cruise Wiley Drive. trying to decide if I want to stick with the slip ons or go the full exhaust route. She runs like a top with the XIED's but I'm thinking a full exhaust is gonna require a SEPST or Power Vision. Neither is cheap so I'm on the fence for now. At least it gives me an excuse to sit in the basement and stare at it for hours .
I've done pimped the hell outta this one boys so she's a keeper.

Been riding trials while the big KTM is in the shop(supposed to get it back this week)with The_raven. We've got a whole course laid out including logs, creeks, a 4x4 and stacked pallets. We've been cranking wheelies across the yard and laughing our tails off.
When ya gonna come over and visit? We ride on most Wednesdays and Sundays(but not next week). NUTSter

Geesh man, can't set aside an evening just to sit by the ole' woodstove and shoot the bull? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to watch ya'll wreck and such but not too fond of standing at the head of the driveway talking to myself. Lord knows I do that enough here .

My evenings happen in the afternoon brother and this week the afternoons are all booked up. Got the in-laws in-bound on Thursday and homeboy's got lots of home-work til then.

I'm 'bout outta wood for that stove too, gotta make a run to the farm. I'll be in touch.

As for the old age jibe Charlie, I've been thinking about putting the brakes on the racing thing. Worried about wrapping myself round a tree and rendering my wings not fit for flight. Should this decision take root, I'll be into the Trials game full-time. All the fun and challenge minus the speed. We'll have to see. I can be a little squirrely with my ideas from time to time. NUTS

Thanks for the support Charlie. I think it really boils down to those young pups being a bit jealous that a 40 year old, broke down guy is in much better shape than they are. I could understand them being intimidated if we were going clubbing, but in the garage they have no need to fear my awesomeness .

Nuts,
If our visit hinges on wood I'll stop and get us a little bundle at the 7-11. You ain't getting out of it that easily. Heck man, if we get desperate we can use Seth's wooden leg .
That's a joke Seth.....................I'd never let Nuts burn up your leg man.

Nuts, It's all about scratching that itch. I told you that Trials thing was worse than an addictive video game. But don't relax too much...flipping over on a big boulder can hurt like h3ll too.
Jaxson, I totally agree........clubbing? I thought you didn't drink(should I have said that out loud)

I'm allergic to the fermented spirits Charlie. They make my head swell up like a pumpkin and my eyes bulge out of their sockets .

I think the trials thing will be good for the ole' Nutster. It'll be much easier on his arthritis.

Rolled the Blackline out for a quick spin today and thought I'd post a few pics of the little doodads I added. Nothing big, but I think it adds a bit of subtle bling.
Next up is the wheels and custom solo seat by Mr. Danny Gray. Believe me when I tell ya', its gonna be an expensive journey.
Anyway, here she is. Rizoma mirrors, HD edge cut grips, pegs, and shift rod, Precision Billet derby and point cover, Joker Machine air cleaner assembly, Rush slip ons (went with black to carry on the whole "contrast" look).
Please overlook the bags o' leaves as the city is only picking up every other week LOL.

The Roddy V was a wonderful machine Charlie, but that's just it. As much as I tried to pretend, it was just a machine. Same goes for the Rocker. The Blackline well and truly moves me in a way that hasn't happened since my 73' XLCH.

I loves me a Sporty Charlie! Here is a pic of my beloved XLCH that I spent a year building. I bought it as a roller and boxes of parts and did all the work except the transmission, re-chroming and paint myself. Scrounged, welded, modified, and wired that poor thing into something I was proud of.
It was a valuable learning experience and I spent many a night cussing that thing, alternated by feelings of true love.

Ahh leave it to the youngster to be a smarty pants. Gotta keep in mind the spirit of the whole project was to come in as cheap as possible by re-using whatever parts I could. I was a young man way back then with little disposable income. In all honesty, it did enventually get swapped when I had the lower legs powder coated, and purple pinstriping added to seperate the colors. Sounds tacky I know, but it looked pretty good.

So the KTM addiction is over for the moment is it? Give us a hint about which twin your looking at. You're not a HD guy, I don't see you on a Victory, Definitely can't see you on a metric cruiser considering the cashflow. Narrows it down to something relatively exotic (read wildly expensive) .

Nuts, I think you need to try a Ural w/ sidecar. You would be an overnight celebrity. It's a whole lot like a BMW(don't let Todd know I said that)

Gotta move the KTM's to new owners before I go NUTS with a purchase.

Man, my Rocker phase lasted longer than the racing .
Glad you came to your senses my friend. It was a serious injury waiting to happen.

Can't wait to see what you have in store for us in regards to a street machine. I'm saying Ducati, Aprilia, BMW, or MV Agusta.
Lets make this a fun little contest Charlie. I laid out my brands so you pick what you think Nuts will show up on.

Damn Jaxson, you don't leave a fella much to choose from......Well since he did say Euro....about the only thing left(leaving out the Soviet block) would be Triumph.Which has a few interesting choices. They have the retro's, not the Nuts I know. The Daytona, possible but I doubt it.....I would have to go with the Speed Triple.
Although you probably got the jump on me. I think the MV's have the classest ones, but it will more than likely be a Duc....
Nope scratch all that....he can't go riding with his Pop's on anything but a Beamer....It's a crap shoot

Jaxson, as much as I love those aforementioned bikes...........his tongue would be hanging out on a cross country ride w/ole Pops. It;s gotta be a long legged Beamer......He's got his yard toys to play with.
However if he does go Sport....I may have to come up and to a test and review for him.
