As for me I just reserved a spot going to Port aux Basque on the first at 8am and returning from Argentia on the 7th at 8:30 |

When the 6:00 AM Ferry docks at Argentia on August 1, Terri and I will be at the Terminal waiting.
Holy Smoke! I goofed! What I meant to say was When the ferry docks at Port aux Basques on August 1. We're taking the ferry from N.Sydney to Port aux Basques on the way over, and leaving from Argentia. I hope I didn't screw you up. |

I don't think you screwed me up too bad. But the first ferry for PaB leaves at 8am on the first not 6, that's the one I signed up for. I also signed up to leave from Argentia on Saturday, but I might change that to the thursday ferry depending on if I need to get back to work sooner than I could otherwise. I'll have to play it by ear. |

I was referring to the ferry that arrives at Port aux Basques at (roughly) 6:00 A.M. It leaves N. Sydney at Midnight or 11:30 or something like that. Originally, that was the ferry we were planning to be on, but we'll be on an earlier trip, instead; and we'll be waiting when the morning Boat arrives. What time does the 8 AM boat arrive? |

It usually takes about 6hrs.
So myself and Grumpy will be at the boat in Port-Aux-Basques at 6am on August 1st.
Either that or Me and Grumpy can Party in Corner Brook on August 31st and have the group come find us in Corner Brook later in the morning....I think thats a better idea, hey Grumpy you wanna do that!!!!

Since you guys and gals are on the ferry a day to 2 ahead of myself, is there a place in St. Johns we could meet up, maybe a time or place on the 3rd or so, just somethig t think about

I made reservations to leave Sydney to Port AB @ 11:30pm on 7/31 and then reversed to come back home 8/4 @ 11:50pm. I wish that we could have stayed a little longer but I just couldn't take that much more time off. |

The boat is like being rocked in a very very large hammock!!!Its one of the most relaxing things you will get on.
OPEN OFFER - This week ONLY.
I am on the west coast of the island doing bike training and have a 4bdm Chalet rented. I have lots of room to put a couple people at no cost.
If anyone would like to fly into Stephenville or Deer Lake, NL I would gladly pick them up and give them a week long guided tour of the west coast. This will only cost you the price of the plane ticket and food, lodgings are on ME.

First off let me start off by apologizing to Newf, Crusty, my Buddy Ruffus, AWPrior, and the few of you I know all too well.
Secondly let me tell you the plan on how I was gonna go to Newfoundland...
Stay with my roomate, go to Newfieland, party my •••• off, come back, find a new place to live.
What really happened...
I was basically give six weeks to find a new place to live after roomate made sure he was far enough away as not to, well I am not sure why my roomate couldn't tell me to my face?
Well anyway.
All the money I was starting to save to get my Spidey •••• up to the far north, was spen on deposit, resorces, etc....
So I am about 99% sure I will not be able to make it, and belive me I Tried, I even found free Room an board on my way to Newfieland but that is not the reason I will not be able to make it.
It is the lack of work I only have 5 vacation days left and I can not miss all that work, specially with a new place, bills, etc...
So It is with a very heavy, heavy, heavy heart that I am sadly giving my notice that I will not be able to make my sad arry ••• up there.
Again my apologies to you all, but I pulling for that 1%.
Again I am sorry and I wish you all the best time you can ever imagine and I envy you all.  |

Damn Spidey that's bad news, I was looking forward to finally meeting your infamous self, especially with your new movie showing, couldn't you get sponsored to ride to NF wearing the outfit? Just an idea, but seriously if there's anything I can do to help just shout. I can pretend to be a long lost brother/cousin/uncle you never new you had, & you can tell your boss it's a family thing.

What are the midwest gang's plans for getting to the ferry? Dates, times etc. I'll be in Grand Rapids MI Thurs. night, and would like to meet up somewhere on Friday and ride with you all. Whoever is planning that, give me at call at 717-634-6118

Alex these are my plans, and they have not changed much, but they have been slightly altered, you are welcome to join us at any point in time, and of course exit at any point in time, and when allowed you are welcome to stay(mostly camping) and i will gladly cover the cost(if any) for the night/nights you are with us, however since i PLANED this trip some time ago, most of my reservation are set, so altering my time line is not going to happen, a route alteration here and there is never a problem, but we do have places to be, and again reservations to deal with so with out much more to do:

We are staying at KOA camp grounds at all the stops except for Union Pier Bar Harbor and St John and all of the stops in Labrador(due to the Bugs) again you are more than welcome to Join us at any point, and here is what you are looking for:
Me 6 ft dork on an all black Harley, no chrome, black aerostich suit, and a bright yellow Ducati helmet
Dana wil be on a black suzuki Bandit, black vanson textile jacket
If you enter one of th KOA's and the bike are gone(food, ride, other) look for an orange MSR tent and a green a frame tent also look for a red water proof bag, round like a doufle bag
i can pass along my cell but i doubt it will be of much good
Let me know if i can help you, there or back or anything inbetween

I was trying to keep it on the DL until i got back but, i am the proud owner of a 00 FXDX formerly owned by one of the owners of my local HD shop, very well done, and one of the only Harleys i have ever seen that i liked, maybe we will actually see each other more than once this summer, and you can take it for a ride, after August 16th that is
