Is this a fix beyond the existing "fix" most of us have?

Testcase,

Looked at your site for the first time... ARKADIA "Fictitious ship?" There is also reality associated with ARKADIA (the place) since ancient times...

I didn't get a chance to ask you about it at the rally.

Notice... there is a 2009 XB12SCG at PJ's Triumph on consignment w/only 800 miles on it. I don't have room but perhaps somebody could give it a new home. Especially good for inseam challenged riders... Talk with "Jonzey."

Nick, You know how much they want for it?

Syonyk, I dont think there is a "fix" beyond what they have. I have been told that the "fix" was part number X2086.1AM.

I did not verify if that is the part number I received the first time this happened, but I will check to see if it is the one being put in there tomorrow.

Adam,

Its on consignment starting @ $7K.
However, Jonezy indicated there is "room" in the price. From talking to Jonezy, it sounds like the owner and PJ's are both serious about moving it.

I was just there taking care of some paperwork and looked at it again....looks and seems to run (idle) good. I didn't ride and I don't know all the details. It is like-new.

This might be just the ticket for your garage...

What?!?! A 2006 with 700 miles? Wow.

I gotta agree with Nick, Adam. Stacey could fit pretty nicely on an Scg.

They are about $1500 too high on an '06 Uly. Low miles are cool so maybe $1000 too high.

I thought you WERE thinking about Stacey... Tell her it's more fun riding her own. Side benefit, you get to ride solo on your own bike.

Also, Remember, 08s (and up) have the new oiling system, crank sensor, and ECUs...generally better.

Hey Nick,

Yeah, lots of meaning to the word, though I picked it specifically from an old Japanese anime movie: "Arcadia of My Youth" where the Arcadia is a giant WW2-reminscient/Pirate-themed spaceship. I'm still working on adding a giant skull to the front...

I mentioned I'm a giant nerd, right?

: D

I was referring to the famed land of ancient and medieval times (which I have visited...) Associated with the Spartans, and later made famous for its ideal setting - the word Arkadia translated roughly to Utopia...

Fr Painting in the 1600s:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nicolas_Poussin_ 052.jpg

Not into the modern renditions but I get the impression the idea of Arkadia lives on... in the hearts and minds.

This has little to do with motorcycles except for the fact that you have named your Ulyses "Arkadia"

Never thought I would be having an exchange about Arkadia on BadWeb.

Right. And really since the Uly's been my dream bike for quite awhile now, I thought the name was very appropriate : )

Thunderbird has an 05 Uly with 7500 on it for $4200 right now. Also an 09 Uly with 30k for something like $8000.

Anyone know of a good dyno around Albuquerque? I'm planning to throw a carb splitter & exhaust on the Blast, as well as possibly a better flowing intake, and I'm hoping I can find somewhere other than Thunderbird to do a dyno pull or two with A/F ratios so I can rejet the carb as needed.

Alternately, anyone have a sideband O2 sensor and controller they'd let me borrow for a bit? : )

Nick/CJ: I am thinking about Stacey, but I think she is going to want the CBR after the season... not sure yet. I am thinking about another bike, but still unsure if I would want another for 2-up reasons, or just as an alternate bike. If I give Stacey the CBR, then I need a new track bike (or a new street bike if I turn the 1125 into a track bike.) still too many decisions, and I need to save some money as all end with me purchasing another bike.

Syonyk: Check out Crossroads Cycle in Rio Rancho for your dyno needs. The owner, Rich, is a good friend of my dad's, and he has a pretty good dyno system. (according to him, the most accurate in the area.) He is also able to do custom mapping I believe.

Good ride this morning up the high road to Sipapu, Mora, and back... The morning was great.

BTW: Sipapu has an outdoor bar/grill (we had coffee, water, and burgers) which is much better than before - good place to stop along the way.

The afternoon return trip was a bit crowded and LE was out in force. The masses were returning home...

I was around yesterday... nothing too long riding wise, but weather was perfect. were any of you all out on a blue Ulysses yesterday riding 2 up? I ran into two of them while I was out riding in town. One on hwy 313 (Camino Real) they coming from Bernalillo to ABQ, I was heading to Bernalillo. and another that was headed North on Eubank which I spotted at the corner of Eubank and Spain.

We just went out I40 to Tramway which we followed North out to 313 up to Bernalillo, then West on 550 to where Unser comes out by the Armory, then took unser to the theater in Rio Rancho. Not too many twisties, but the weather was nice so we just rode around aimlessly.

Yeah, that was me on 313. I thought that was you. I was going to post on here to see.

Angela and I went out for an afternoon ride on the Uly. 313 to Albuquerque, Tramway to Old 66, North 14 to Santa Fe for an early dinner, then just came down the interstate home. I was home by six.

Nick, that's a nice ride. I ate at that grill at the Sipapu ski area a while back when I was camping from the bike. I found the food to be pretty good but too expensive for what it is. Nice atmosphere, though.

The Sipapu grill was moved outside earlier in the summer, downstairs by the river.

There were also a bunch of guys on trials bikes playing around on the hills and rocks.

Rt 518 was fun both ways - as usual.

BTW: Burgers start $6.00.

Anybody ever try any Mora eating establishments?

Yeah, I was out there this summer, June. I didn't really like the potato salad, but they had a mean local brew root beer that I liked.

I have not eaten in Mora, but did have that thought while passing through there. I'll ask around and see if anyone knows of a good place.

Mora is not a particularly inviting town... Krystal's Cafe is the only eating establishment that seems to draw some customers...

Psh... not me. I'm working like a dog over here. And Ed's going to be really mad at me about his schedule, too. It's not only ugly, it's exactly the opposite of what he wants.

I was considering it, but after a bunch of dental work today (3 fillings & a crown), I'm not feeling up for doing much other than sitting around right now.

And there's a fly-in in Moriarty tomorrow.

I didnt end up going either. I had plastic fitment issues. I need to drill new holes for the race plastics to fit. I ended up checking out the races yesterday. There were a couple of wrecks, one that sent a guy to the hospital for some broken ribs...Kelcey high-sided and ended up getting his toe caught between the tire and chain during practice (thinks may be broken) but still went on to race the whole afternoon. These guys are dead set on keeping their points.

Leprikan... there are more here than you think. Not a HUGE amount by any means, but there are enough for a decent group ride every now and then.
