Finally got the K&N air filter, new spark plugs, and spark plug wires installed. Took it for a spin around the block and it is running better than ever. | ||

We had a good meeting at ASBN in Northern Cal. Norton bay area guys were there. Urban moto magazine Dirt bike training classes Eagle Rider was there. sorry I was not in Arizona. Off to oregon this week for a month. I have a really good Buell 1125CR for sale. Black, special things here and there on the bike as aftermarket items. $6800...REX | ||

funny you should say that about Arrowhead Bartimus, i picked up my 09 xb9sx from the dipsticks in yuma and it was leaking before we had it halfway home. called them up the next day and they wanted 250 to look at it!!1wtf?? looked up the next nearest shop and that was Arrowhead. my stepdad took it there as i had run out of leave time waiting for yuma to be able to hand it over to me in the first place. he took it to Arrowhead and they said it was the high pressure oil seals that had gotten crimped or something during instal. also they did a tune up and tightened everything that should have been checked before delivery. free of charge since it was supposed to have been done before i even saw the bike. well needles to say that while i was still in Okinawa my stepdad fell in love with my bike and put 1200 or so miles on it...lol hes the one who told me to go with a sportster. now he wants one coz im back and i ride it everyday. | ||

Ok so what is the itinerary for the fall ride sept. 16-18, where, when, etc. I would have loved to have made it to the Durango ride but I need at least 3 months notice to get the time off at work. Really looking forward to this upcoming ride. | ||

this was a cool post on the clutch.. I e-mailed Erik Buell Racing asking if their newly offered clutch actuator will fix the clutch weep problem. It is listed on their page as: Erik Buell Racing Clutch Actuator Cylinder Kit Erik Buell Racing racing clutch actuator kit as used in the AMA Superbikes. The revised piston diameter improves modulation and feel. The cylinder sleeve is manufactured from stainless steel, and is precision honed. The mating actuator piston is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, and fitted with multiple orings, and back up rings. This ensures stiction free actuation, and excellent clutch feel. X2086.11AZ Here is the reply: Hello Bob, The actuator diameter is changed, so the stroke is increased, thus clutch modulation is more gradual for improved feel. Finding neutral is improved, as is modulation from pulling away from a stop. This actuator has a different seal design than the Buell parts, and we have had no weep/leak issues with it. Art, the Ridefest was to be at the Tal wi wi lodge in Alpine, az those dates. There was a block of rooms set aside but I don't think anyone else made reservations besides me. I had to cancel mine, as I have family coming into town that week. Perhaps Nick or Kelly can pick up the rally and roll with it? I'm not sure what the situation is up there with the fire damage and all this past summer. | ||

Leaving for Bonneville today, and the Bubs event. I will be there thru Sept. 2nd. We will be in the Radio tower, broadcasting, but I don't think you can hear 89.7, Radio Free Bub, the fastest radio on earth this week, from the Phoenix area. If you want to do a short trip to Wendover and back, drop by and see us in the tower. You will have a Buelltiful time. REX | ||

Too much homework :P Glad you had fun  Sometime I have to rewire my fan... Extended 110+ riding will give me skip spark. I have done just about everything I can besides the rewire. Just trying to find a way to do it without the CEL. I have a few ideas that should work, I just haven't had the time... 19 credit hours this semester, in the aerospace program that is a bit rough :P Phil | ||
