TO MAKE RESERVATIONS: ROOMS WILL ONLY BE HELD UNTIL JUNE 25TH AT THE ECONO LODGE!!!! For the night of July 22nd the number for the Lakeside Motel is 360-225-8240 contact is Jerry. Be syre to tell him you are with the SPLASH group. I have contacted the Econo Lodge in Bend for July 23rd and 24th. All rooms are $55 + tax. You need to call asap and get your room reserved. Rocky the owner has set aside 10 rooms, 5 with single beds, and 5 with 2 queens. Requesting ground floor if you want it but he cannot assure it. When you call tell them you are with the SPLASH Event for the weekend of July 23rd. You will at that time need to give a credit card number to make the reservation Call 541-382-7711 or 1-800-507-2211 Please post back here once you have made your reservation so that I know. I have to call him in early June and verify that the rooms are being reserved. Now I am getting excited!! Can't wait to see everyone for a great long weekend. | ||

It Sucks 2011 July 22nd (Traveling to Yachts, OR) July 23rd (Attending Wedding) July 24th (Drowning my sorrows in beer) Much to my disgust I can't make SPLASH this year. I tried to get out of this but it's just not going to happen. Loni, Deb and Lo will have to find someone else to pick up and take to bed. Enjoy the ride for me. It's unusually cold and wet here. That is AWESOME!!!! Nice to know I can bring out a little devil in you. Soooo ... who did you send post 420 to? Enjoyed a short ride, managed to get in 220 miles. Brats and beer for dinner made it a very nice day. Weather dude is talking cold and rain for the next three days, glad I got it in. | ||

Maybe Friday at the lake I could bring the family but I'm doing the ride alone. I make my new to me old bike look very small without help from anyone else on board. I did get another street bike that makes 2 in a month. Soon Cody will be raising hell with us. Splash 2012?  | ||

Please do bring them. Gosh the thought of Cody riding SPLASH in 2012 is a frightful thought...Not that I think he is not up to it or a good rider, he is both...But that just flat out makes me feel OLD!!!! I can't wait for the day for him to join us. | ||

Lloyd, not sure about camping, we're old and soft. We'll be staying at the motel, hang'n by the pool, and eating at nearby restaurants. The room rates are very reasonable, bring a friend and it's even less! Maybe Mginbend will have a camping recommendation for you. Looking forward to meeting you, Chris | ||

not sure about camping in Bend. There is a city park campground in Sisters which would put you 20 miles away - but that would put you 20 miles ahead of us on Sunday... There are also campgrounds toward Mt. Bachelor - lots of nice lakes. Again, about 20 miles out - that would put you near the end of the ride on Sunday. | ||

Well, with starting a new job 3 months ago, and limited vacation days this summer, I had a difficult choice ... unfortunately, I'm going with option B, and will miss out on all of the epic SPLASH times this year :-( Still planning to attend the Boarder Raid, and will have to wait and catch up with everyone then. I hope everyone keeps the rubber on the road, has a great ride and enjoys themselves immensely! | ||

I was thinking about trucking to Bend the 22nd and then riding towards y'all during the day on the 23rd and meeting up to ride back to Bend with you. Would there be a predictable place on the current route where you might plan to stop for lunch? All the above subject to my finding a bike before then, as I have been bike-less for 6 months now. | ||

It's a nice bike, Chris. Not sure I could afford it. Those old Buells are my kind of bike. Call me 541-456-2445. I'll be gone Sat AM, then home in the evening. Home Sunday unless I try to launch the boat again. (It tried to sink last Sunday) |
