make sure your battery is ok then check the breaker under the seat if you have power to there it could be the switch...unplug the switch pigtail connector and see if you have power there then replug in the switch and see if you have power out of the switch to the other red wired in the connector...if you do then the bike is worn out and I will give you a nice fresh 50.00 dollar bill for it.....

sensitive ain't he?

follow Keith's instructions, call him or myself for any clarification you may need. We all know how much you love that thing! just like to wind you up when we can.

sounds like a minor electrical gremlin. only about four or five thing cause zero electronics.

Bad battery/connections
short(in wiring harness or starter)
broken/burnt switch contacts
fuse/circuit breaker

happy hunting and call if you need an earful.

How about voltage regulator bad,or stator not charging the battery? It would run until the battery was completly drained, then as you say, nothing electrical would work!

Problem solved. Got home and started checking it everything I tested was showing continuty (sp?)battery was fine tested all the plugs for travel but I only have a junk little tester couldn't figure it out. Called Sam told him what I checked, 25 minutes later he pulls in the drive! Looks at the bike whips out the proper meter (easy now, we're talking volts ; ))test a couple things looks down and jiggles the wire from the battery to the starter and its busted off at the connector. Obviously the culprit should have seen it but apearently it was sitting on the connector enough to give me read outs by contact. I just didn't jiggle it. Note to self: jiggle everything. Beat feet down to Autozone got the closest I could find and put it all back together, works like a champ. Now for them turn signals.

I called Central and got a price on the xb9r rear turn signals and their something like $5.24 a piece I've seen on the web that they are easy fittable to all sors of bikes. Prolly gonna go that route for now..

Derek dont feel alone I was riding down I435 in MO last year and the end broke of of my battery cable and the bike died. Now the rest of this story will sound like one of dasxb9s stories, I located the problem and knew I had to find a way to attach it back together so I could get home. I noticed I had some wire ties holding the battery in and figured I could use one of them to hold the two metal parts of the cable in contact so I could get home. I took out my pocket knife to cut the wire tie and it was realy hard to cut, well when it did cut through I was using so much force the knife fliped out of my hand and went right into my knee cap. OUCH ok now I am bleeding like crazy from my knee and was trying to get it to stop and could find nothing, My wife was with me and she was looknig for something too, well finaly I resorted to taking my sock off and tied it around my knee to put pressure on it to stop the bleeding. I then had to finish the cable repair and try to get it going. I t was a job but I got it started and made it home.

Derek, the jiggle technique,is an ancient trouble shooting method, passed down for generations from Dad to Son.You have been given a guarded secret, use this knowledge for the good of mankind, and dont be pulled into the DARK SIDE.

Anyone ordered or bought any parts from Zues @ central lately?? I don't want to jump on the bash Central bandwagon at all in fact it's quite the opposite but I thought I should ask. I called up yesterday and asked about XB turn signals. He had a set in stock but I needed two sets I asked him to order in a second set for me and I paid for them on my card over the phone so he could order the second set. Well when I was on the phone with him he was just real short and not real real friendly. I figured well maybe he is having a bad day and didn't think much else about it. Well today I took off an extra hour and used my lunch break to go out there to pick them up. A buddy of mine here went with me. We got out there I picked them up and there was a question about something from the guy at the computer and he called Zues out to ask him. Once again he was real short with me and didn't seam to want to converse at all. I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with them out there lately or not? Is this typical of Zues? When he was at our meetings and stuff he was always real nice and friendly willing to talk with me. When we left my friend (potential Bueller soon he hopes) asked me "is that the way your always treated at the dealerships?" and I didn't want to tell him no since that would be a lie almost, but for central this this isn't normal. He also asked another good question "why did you drive all the way over here and take time off work when you have a dealership 10 minuts away?" I responded with "well I would rather drive accross the city and support the dealer that supports us and our brag club"

I guess this is just kind of a rant but is Zues ok? Is he fed up with us already?? They shop looked awesome they had a good selection of bikes and all kinds of assessories etc.. some sweet brag stuff! I hope all is good. Maybe he was just having a rough week..?
