If you were planning on staying on Hwy 67, let me make some suggestions. 205 parallels 67 to the north between Stephenville and Glen Rose. 200 and 1434 parallels 67 to the south between Glen Rose and Cleburne. All nice scenic roads. Have a great ride, should be good weather.

Thursday evening I will be heading out from Plano to Round Rock, Friday I will be riding the area and then staying in San Marcos that night
Saturday I will be hanging around San Marcos then heading west-ish to Fredericksburg/Kerrville. Not sure where I am staying yet. If you have a couch/bed that i could crash on that would be awesome.
I plan on riding that area Saturday and Sunday morning then heading back to Plano.
If you can help me out I would be more than happy to give you some money, buy some beer, or whatever.
If you just want to ride that is cool too. I will just stay in a cheap hotel/motel.

Kevyn, here's the thread that most the Central Texas Buellers follow: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/hellbuellies/

CycleGear is hosting Wednesday Bike Nights at all it's stores. There will be door prizes, food & more from 6-9 PM.
They will be at the Bedford store on May 26, the Plano store on June 2, and the Ft.Worth store on June 9th.

Hi I'm Collin. Deep north Fort Worth. I know of a few more a little further south from me. A few of us will be going to a fairly new bike night tomorrow night (Tuesday) at western center and I35.

Nice article on Glen Rose in the Summer 2010 issue of Ride Texas. However, the loop they provided isn't what I would suggest. They did have a good pic of the decommissioned bridge along-side the newer and not well known bridge that connects CR1118 with CR1175. They also have a pic of the old gas station made from petrified wood close to Tres Rios Campground.

I think I might have seen an 1125 with white body work a few weeks ago, in the western center / basswood area, I'm not sure though. So I know there are a few Buells around here.

This particular section of the board is pretty slow, so it's hard to actually get in touch with anyone.

If anyone knows of the bike night in the western center area, post up, let us know.

i went off road just south of Venus about a month ago and the bike has been stripped down all of July. i am ok. i just got nasty burn on my leg when we both flipped. my goal is in two weeks i will have a nice custom paint job and be back on the road. if all goes well you will see a blue and gray 1125r round basswood and western center.

Need a bit of help if possible. I have seen a guy on a Black/Red XB12R around down town Dallas at about 7:00 AM several mornings during the week on the way to work. Does anyone know who this is? I want to know what exhaust pipe he has? It appears to be quiet but it it has dual outlets. If anyone knows who this is please let me know.

Hey Bart,
Haven't seen the bike but the only dual outlets I know of are the D&D and Special OPS. If it's quiet, I'm guessing Special OPS.

Race pipe has dual outlets right?

Rah7777777 had a special ops and it was way louder than his current race pipe. Just not sure if it was 1 or 2 outlets.

The outlets looked like a Special Ops or maybe a Latus but it was way to quiet.Truth be known the effects of crack pipe may have not worn off yet from the night before and was probably a race pipe.

Even though my work truck is loud (diesel F550), I was only idling and I had to roll the window down to be able to hear his bike come through the intersection. I would guess he was traveling about 40 mph. He might have had it in 5th gear but damn I would have expected more noise.

Kevyn's right, the Race Pipe does have dual outlets and by comparison would be quiet. Unless it was repainted, the Race Pipes were silver.

the race can has dual outlets.

I was sitting at a light in my wifes 4 cylinder car (No noise levels there!)
and had a bolt go through an intersection in front of me and I could barely hear him.

The race pipe is quiet compared to anything other then stock.
Mine is painted black, but they came originally in silver only.

I live in Eustace (about 55 miles South of Point). I ride a lot in East Tx but most it is South East of where I live. I have a few "routes" set up for when my buddies come down to test out my area. If you are interested let me know when you are in the area.
----------------------------------------
The best roads around Point are back towards Mineola and have good surfaces except the corners. Some jackass thought it would be a good idea to have the surfaces grooved in the the corner and ruin some otherwise good sweepers. However, there are some good roads within 20-30 minutes of the area.

Its not too far out.... I can be in Rockwall in 45 min if I dont stop anywhere.
As far as riding spots in my area......there are none, well unless you like straight flat roads. If you do find an old back road with any twistys in it the road surface is so bad you cant really enjoy it. I dont mind going to the Tyler area or even up to DFW just to meet some fellow Buellers and ride a lil or even just cruse the area. I used to live in South Irving for 22 years so I know my way around up there.....well I used too...lol.

This is to anyone in the DFW area.

I have an odd request... I've been researching a lot on the XB's, however, after HD cut Buell I can't test ride any of the bikes, let alone sit on and see how they feel. If anyone in the DFW area would be willing to at least let me look at their bike so I can get a better idea (I'm not asking to ride, I understand that it's your bike) that would be appreciated. As I said, I know it's an odd request.
Thanks.

If any of you have been following me on the BB&D board, you may know that I'm at my wits' end with an air intake leak. I've done all I know how to do.

I've managed to keep my XB12X out of the shop except for one time, which was not a good experience, but my only next move is to either put it in the shop or sell it as-is.

Has anyone here had such a good experience with their shop and you'd like to recommend them (and they're not too, too far from south DFW)? I'd sure appreciated a good reference it if you'd care to post it up or PM me. Otherwise, I guess it's going to go to the nearest Harley dealer. Thanks.

Independent Cycles

502 Clover Court

Allen, TX 75002

(469) 667-1204

If I ever had to have someone else work on my bike, it would be Brian Todd at independant cycles. He does my tires and fork rebuilds ( I do everything else) Great guy! He was a certified HD/Buell tech for years and years! He's owned Buells before too!

Its a home operation but he has an awesome setup!! I believe he also does a lot of the warranty work for HD of Allen (kind of an odd deal for a dealer to give there work to another "shop" but hey, it works for him!)

Ive had some tech questions that he had very good answers to before....

Posted in the Buell's Wanted section, but thought I'd cover the bases and post here as well. If anyone is, or knows somebody, selling an XB12Scg (preferably) I'd appreciate the info.

I've ridden both an Scg and an R. The R is just a tad too stretched out for my taste, still an amazing bike, though. But the Scg is more my style.
