I've had this squeak/chirp/annoyance for way too long now.
I've done everything I can think of and a few more from others.
Belt guard-gone
Metal belt guard back-gone
Replaced exhaust gaskets-done
Swapped wheels to rule out wheel bearings-done
Bounced up and down on seat to see if the swingarm bearings were the cause-done
Nothing-NOTHING would relieve me of the dreaded annoyance...
Yesterday Charlie and I went through it all (most all) over again....
Well, it turns out the belt has been rubbing the side of the drive pulley for seven years has polished it so the belt squeaks while under load.
Bar soap on the edges of the belt and pulley, and all's quiet again! |

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Big news in my house... I am almost sure that I will be moving back to Indiana before new years. It was great to meet alot of you. I hope to get my bike back to running order to get one more trip to the mountains before I go. If not I will be making trips down as much I as can. Hope you all have a fun and safe weekend! |

Chris, Good luck and keep in touch before you leave. I'm up for a winter ride with ya, if I still don't have the hawk running I'll barrow a Ninja....
Moving sucks , we're moving into an Apt. this weekend. It's short term until we get a few this worked out. It's a long story....
Shelleys got a couple of job offers. Nothing will pan out until after the holidays but if she doesn't find something closer by well be making a big move, maybe even out of state.

Any experience with Neurologists in Atl area ... I know Pete had more than enough and I have no way to contact him..... I am dealing with Atl medical center... My son had a bike wreck on 11/24 and has to have his t12 fused but no paralysis issues.. Car pulled out in front of him and he may need a lawyer as well...

Hey I haven't been on here in years, i found a good deal on a 07 firebolt a guy wrecked and needs a few parts, is Buell still supplying parts through the dealership? |

Frogger, you can allegedly still get parts through the dealership. I have to admit I haven't tried, though. |

Frogger - The short answer is, yes, you can get Buell parts through the dealerships. Harley-Davidson is the supplier of the parts.
I've heard of some people having trouble getting parts in a timely manner. And some parts considered accessories are no longer available. I bought a couple of thing through Stone Mountain HD; it took a couple of weeks to be delivered to the dealership. You can check there, and with the other BadWeb sponsors like American Sportbike. And there is the BadWeb classifieds. Post up what you need. Someone may have just what you're looking for in parts. |

Surgery on my son went good, He is very sore but he walked with a walker a little today..
