If you need any help/advice with the bike, you know how to get a hold of me. We've done surgery on a few mufflers here. :-)

If you're wearing the right gear, crashing is a great learning experience. I always learn something from a crash.

not really. kinda fun in its own way...and certainly lucky that they all required minimal effort to get going again. in a power ranger suit, you can kinda do anything, as long as you don't try and tackle the ground.

Keep going, I'm taking notes on crashing correctly.

I obviously suck at it in a bad way.

Is it bad I sometimes feel I should have ran the dude over instead? Cuz I definitely feel I got the sh!t end of the stick on this one. <sigh>

EDIT: staying home & the pain is getting to me, I'm glad I didn't smash him, Id feel like a tool bag if something seriously happened to him, like death....but only then.

yup, you look twisted up in this photo, Your a$$ and shoulders should line up.

It also helps to have your body position set before the corner in the brake zone. Practice what it feels like on stands in the garage and get a kind of system down for how you get into the right position. (I use to do it in front of a big mirror downstairs while the bike was in the house.) Then when you're coming into the corner (T3 for example) you can have your ass half off the seat, knee out, ready to go at turn in. I try to put my face where the rear view mirror would be or so and look through the corner from there. This not only gives you a consistent process but breaks it apart from the tipping in movements, allowing you to be more consistent and hit the right position every time. There's a reason you see pros with their knee out way before they actually dive in.

It comes down to the good old, trying to keep your head outside your mirrors. which you don't have, (see photo below). Just keep playing with it something will click, just use the outside arm to stabilize yourself and keep trying to lean farther. I end up with my outside arm laying across my tank if I'm ripping hard.

you want to be anchored to the bike through your feet and keeping off the bars. To me that's the best way to explain it. What I did to improve was changed the way I thought about it as I was setting up before the turn.

I concentrate on hanging off the bike and leading with my shoulder. If your leading with your shoulder your not thinking about the rest of your body and this may be why your crossed up. Think about your hips and your shoulders moving together, and make sure they are both facing straight (are parallel to the bars) as opposed to twisting towards the outside of the turn when you slide over on the seat. Push the bike away from you to decrease the lean angle as you move your hips and shoulders together and do this all at once. It should be one SMOOTH transition, and completed well BEFORE you flick into the turn while the bike is still straight up. Another way to look at it is don't rotate around the tank. For head position, think of it as trying to eat your inside fist and look as far ahead as you can, It "slows" everything down and makes for smoother transitions.

Okay, lesson over for today...But see here for tips

" Dont make me laugh bro!...It hurts still...haha..fun ride home for sure.

What he said. I try and look at pics of myself immediately after coming in. That way whatever I see that I don't like (besides my ugliness and gut) I can correct asap. That way I'm not reinforcing bad habits. This past race weekend, for example, I look lazy in every shot. Next weekend, chin and shoulder drops.

I went the total opposite direction. Half the cylinders, half the displacement, half the weight. Twice the fun, twice the crashability.
