Looking for someplace to go this weekend? Hints: This is the first Sunday of the month. This is the first Sunday without snow (in a while). This is the first Sunday we will see 51F deg. This is the first Sunday for Ephrata! http://ephratamotorcycle.com/ I would say come early, or bring a big board for your kickstand because you might end up parking in the field. I am east of Ephrata by 20 miles, at a much higher elevation and I still have 6" of snow on the yard. Hope it melted on the Ephrata ball field. | ||

Follow up on Ephrata trip. I was going to meet my neighbor at 7:30. At 7:00 I woke up and got dressed. Checked the thermometer, 25 deg  . I call my buddy and tell him it's too cold. He rides a BMW with a full faring, but even he was thinking it was too cold. By 10:00 its 40 deg, so I went to Ephrata. Maybe it was because I was late, but there was only about 75-100 people there. I stayed long enough to get my hands warm then ran up to Terri Hill for lunch. It was chilly, but it was riding. Come on Spring! | ||

Hey Guys.. Just visiting to let the folks around here know... I've talked with CLASS - The Reg Pridmore riding school and they have set up a group discount for their schools this year and will open that up to us for their Jul 8th/9th schools at VIR. The discount is predicated on numbers, starting at three from a group. BumbleBuell and I are already signed up for both days, so you can get some cash off, your registration for either or both days and have a lot of fun, learn to ride better and well.. Made the run up to Ephrata Sunday morning. I couldn't have asked for a better ride, no traffic, great weather. Not alot of bikes there, only saw two other Buells but had a good time. Were you there early Tow? I thought I saw you heading out as I was heading in. Red Uly XT. | ||

Next month looks good for me also. I have my 06 Uly for sale and I thought that would be a good place to put out a sign. Church and family took precedence however. Boy the weather sure looks better and better around these parts. | ||

i havent chatted with anyone lately, but was at Ephrata this Sunday, hoping to hook up with like-minded buelligans. i ride an 07 XB12STT, sans a few of the white body side panels. Saw an 95 ? yellow Buell, and an 1125, about it. Is there any effort to organize a ride or meet-up, or any club affiliations I am missing out on?? I usually go to Lawn the 3rd Sunday, and try to make Ephrata. would be interested in doing some rides, maybe associated with the Sportstouring.net groups. What say you? | ||

Tell me more about this "Lawn" on the 3rd Sunday. That's next weekend I think. today I ran down to the Kennett camera shop to buy a camera that actually fits in my pocket, then followed my GPS around trying out all the stone roads I could find. | ||

If I remember correctly last year some of you guys did the Rolling Thunder ride in D.C. and said it wasn't really worth doing again. I was wondering if any of you are thinking of going out to Altoona for the Res. Ride this year. For anybody thats on the fence about going out its one hell of good time and Clem's BBQ rocks. Bob | ||

I am shooting for Ephrata on Sunday as well but it is a busy wkend so the schedule may conflict. I was at the Antique Motorcycle Meet in Oley on Saturday. Beautiful day and some amazing restorations. | ||

I thought about going to the Antique show. I went to RBO racing to get my XR650L I just bought inspected in the morning. The weather man said it was going to rain in the afternoon so I just went home and worked on the XR. (it never rained until late at night). Today it was supposed to rain all day so I worked on the XR some more. It's still not raining. goes to show, if you trust the weather man you will never go riding But the work on the XR went well. The guy I bought it from said it runs rich all the time. I found when someone put handlebar risers on it, they had the choke cable (choke is on the handlebars) stretched so tight and choke would not go all the way off. I just cut 1" off each side of the handlebars (for riding in tight woods) and the choke cable loosened up enough to allow the choke to turn off. It runs great now.  | ||

I'm starting to get the WV itch ... although I must admit, riding out there in the fall was perfect temperature wise. It's a good time to start planning a trip at the very least. Go Flyers - whip the Blackhawks!! | ||

To all, Suggested Ride. Meet up at Soda Pop Shop: 3003 Northwind Road Corner of Harford Road (Rte 147) & Northwind Rd. Parkville, MD 21234-1213 Roughly 2-miles outside of the Balto. Beltway (Rte 695) on Rte 147. Meet Sunday July 18th, 8:30AM - 9:00AM. Kickstands up at 9:00. There is a gas station just a few hundred yards away. I'll run us through northern MD and south central PA. I can have us back at our starting point by 1:00 - 1:30. The ride has some technical twisties, sweepers and rolling countryside. Terp, sounds like a great ride. Unfortunately i'am leaking oil from the front rocker cover.The gasket got twisted when the 12,000 check was performed.Gets corrected on monday.It goes without saying i'am in for the next ride! | ||
