I only saw two other Buells there. I stopped at the pub on the way home to say hello, and ended up talking about my bike with a customer. He may very well be buying a Buell soon. I love missionary work. | ||

Lou, glad to hear it may finally be sorted. The melted connector has me concerned however. Melting means heat, heat means over current. Over current usally means a short of some sort. If you are sure you checked all the wiring and don't have any shorts or rubbed away insulation, I guess maybe you are in the free zone. Ride away! Keep an eye on your battery charging voltage. Check it from time to time while the motor is running at about 2K. If it's much below 14V, there is an issue. I couldn't go last night I had a last minute deal come up that I had to tend.. | ||

I think it over heated because the positive terminal wasn't crimped tightly enough. As it is now, I'm getting 14.16-14.20 at the battery when idling, and about 14.13 when the high beams are on. So far, so good. | ||

I am planning on going up for June 4th 2010...1st Thursday. Anyone interested in a meet-up? I am going to be leaving Rochester at about 4:30 or so. Arrive about 5:45-6pm. It would be easier if we met in a place close to Delano's and ride in together. Anyone want to go? | ||

I unfortunately can't make it. I planned on it but an after hours install at work changed all that. Probably won't finish up until after 7:00. Crap.... Lou, the bike still running OK? no more battery problems? | ||

I'll definitely be there -- but on my '67 Sportster. Last month I rode my Uly. Gotta rotate :-) But I'll be looking for other Buells and come over and introduce myself if I see any. I only got my Uly last year and am looking forward to meeting other Buell riders. | ||

Brad, I went out to Ellesworth to visit Scott (CrashM1). There and back, no problem. Getting close to being done with the Blast. New muffler is on, I'm putting the air cleaner together, and got the license plate mounted. I might need help from somebody to weld the rearsets, and I haven't finished the paint, yet. Oh, yeah, had to steal two turn signals from the Blast, one of the LEDs on the 'Bolt burnt out. | ||

I'd say try the grass lot north of Lake, or the parking lot next to it. Most people go south. | ||

We ended up going down there afterall (didn't plan on it, or we would have met up with some of you guys!). Saw a few other Buells...but man Lou if you think that was packed, you aint seen nothin! There is normally many times that number of bikes. Let's hope for good weather next month! | ||

I was there, but only saw one other Bueller. He looked at me in my Buell jacket, spit on the ground and road away. The rice burner and vintage guys were pretty cool, though. | ||
