Char - fly into BWI or DC/Dulles. We'll pick you up, bring you home with us, and you can have your choice (Kim has the M2L and Blast to pick from; you may be able to work with the CR if I put the stock seat back on, or maybe even the S1W). We'll ride down together - it's a great ride. Last year I rode down on I-81 due to time constraints (only one "award" in Smythe County VA - 88 in a 55 whoops) and it was OK...for a slab run. Rode to Vern's place in a day, crashed there, and we took the roundabout (awesome!) route to TWO the next day. Coming home, we rode straight to Vern's then I took Blue Ridge Parkway most of the way home. In the fall. With the leaves changing. And I only saw three cars in 120 miles (it was a Monday). | ||

Frank - try and find a place that'll rent you an S2...  Although she needs a li'l troubleshooting. Today on a ...uh... "spirited" ride in 98 degree weather, I got home to a ton of spooge on the right side. Either I have it overfilled (don't think so), or the XB rockerboxes are flowing MORE spooge into the air cleaner.... And Chris...yep, you can have fun once you're south of DC. I'll probably reverse my return trip from last year, on the way down. 15 South to 29, 29 to Charlottesville, hook west from there to BRP, BRP as far south as it'll go, and finish up on what...I-81 I think? Slabbing down last year took more out of me than the BRP back. And ANY of it will be easier than a straight shot back from Homecoming in 14.5 hours, 2-up! ...guess I better talk to work and get the time off, eh....? | ||

So who's gonna join me for The Sunday Morning Pajama Run?  The only rule is they need to be large enough to fit over jeans or protective gear. I don't want anyone risking their hide just for the sake of sleeping/riding fashion. I have a brand new pair of pj's that I'm sure will be a hit on the street and by the campfire. | ||

LoL, I saw you heading out last year and bout spilled my coffee.... Although, I did get to spend a little time with your honey as we both broke camp while you played on the twisties. Dude, she rocks... not to mentioned carried a large @ss toolbag from the truck down to help me secure some bits on the LedSled. Big Guns I tell ya, Big Guns! I think I will bring mine this year... I guess I'll be leading, though I usually prefer to follow someone faster. If anyone wants to ride at a faster pace, they can just zip ahead. It'll just be the usual Suches Loop, 60->19->129->180 so you can't get lost. It's a short run so those that have to head home early can get one last run around the mountain. Not sure what time yet, but it should be early. If there are any other group rides that morning I'd like to go early enough to get back before they leave.
