Took MY X1 up to New Hampshire and rode with Scott_in_NH to the Laconia hillclimb.HE rode his '99 S3.

Isn't THIS a Buell centric site Froggy?

Heard a funny story the other day of a Masshole trying to wrench his Dodge ram.Yeah,he was doing front wheel bearings or something and TORCHED off his ball joint? WTF?? A simple "tap" would've done the job.Silly Jap Crapper(OOPS! I meant "Vice Grip Mechanic")

That looks like a fun thumper! Dont know much about those machines are parts expensive?

BTW no decorations on the Crf
Actually havent ridden it in awile maybe I'll have to fix that.

Greg, few years back I was going to enter the hillclimb. However they stopped using the "steep" ski jump hill. Always fun to watch people start up the hill and all of sudden get stage frieght and freeze up 1/4 to 1/2 way up.
The "drag racing" up the somewhat modest hill in front of the lodge didn't seem fun to me.

Are they still on that one or back to ski jump hill?

interesting that the BIG inch bikes' aren't as competetive as the 2 smoke,extended swingarm bikes'.It was great seeing an old friend

And the ride up on the X1! The ride up alone was probably fun in itself.

I always liked watching the open class.
I wonder how often they crack their frames, stuffing an engine of that size into a frame not designed to take that abuse?

THere was a guy who had all of the "Support 81" stickers/shirts here too on his DEAD Buell.Which is where the Jap crap comment comes from.I'd still NEVER seriously consider Jap crap.My Dad told me never to.He always had Indians',Nortons,And BMW.

Best buy. Solid machines in the 3-4 hundo range. Plenty capable unless you're hd video editing or a super video game nerd. Plenty good for talking smack on the interwebz and looking at bewbz.
