To all - the organizers have picked a date - June 16-20th - Any thoughts on a group heading east? I am in if there are any takers. |

I would love to go clear over there, but Hells Canyon Rally is June 11-14. I don't think I can swing hitting that and continuing on, wish I could. That would make for a great ride. |

Hmmm. Go to Hells Canyon and then continue on to Homecoming and take a full week+ off from work. Wonder if I can swing that by the wife. LOL PS If you click on the homecoming link you will see there is a deadline of 12-28-2009 to the dinner hotel package in order to lock in the discount rats that have been setup by the organizers of this event. Bought my ticket today - figured that I would get myself closer to actually planning and going. They met the 150 min to hold the event so Homecoming is a go. |

Do not ask me on how they got that name - ask XBSwede - he tried to use the "I am only just recently a new citizen, I do not quite understand your language yet" excuse. I just think the Ass beads vs. Beaded seatcover naming issue was merely a deep seated personal thing that we really do not want to know about. Also do not let Adam (Thepod) fool you he has been very concerned about his ass for this trip and was the initiator of the Beaded Seat Cover A.K.A "Assbeads" from the start. Paul (Borrowedbike) has been fairly quiet about the whole thing (we think it is a well suppressed excitement), however he too has ordered a set. Now I bet there are a bunch of PBR'ers wishing they were going to homecoming with this group! There now the truth is out. |

Interesting beads. So you have special beads so you can get an Iron butt Award? How do you attached the beads? Speical peircings? Surgically done? |

Great about NF 48! All this rain melted everything. At least the beads will channel water |

This is the road road report for 48. Looks like the snow is gone though. Spots of snow and debris on Road 48. Please use caution. |

Hmmm. I drove about 5 miles down. its pretty much all down hill from the start so it should just get better. I did see debris for the first few miles and some snow out under the tree's but not on the road. |

Well the forks are off and I'll be taking them to GP suspension tomorrow. I only hope they fix them and get em done by Saturday. For those who don't know - I had them redone by GP suspension and was crowing about how awesome they were until I started bottoming out on potholes. Sumpthins up with em |

Adam that sucks - nothing else I can say. Aron - the Forest Service page probably has not been updated since they posted the conditions in late May - so I am sure we are good |
