Mr G, don't worry. Our tickets for the ferry are booked. It would take a major calamity to stop us from being there. Dullorb's list has a dozen people listed as being 99.5% or better, so it ought to be all good. Back in '99 the ATC had a rally in Pennsylvania that had about a dozen people show up, and we all had a great time. This will be even better, 'cause just getting there will will be an adventure in itself. |

Geesh Grumpy,
If no one came we could go on a good ole Newfie Drinking Binge for a week!!!!!!!!
Only problem I would have to take up profuse drinking again and we would have to find someone to drive the convertible. I don't think I would have any problems finding a driver........OH the troubles!!!!!!
BUT, Looks like we are gonna have Buellers coming so the drinking will be little and the riding/driving will be great. |

I need a Head Count, please. Dullorb's list has about a dozen people coming; are there any others who are planning to make it? I'm working on something to make the rally a little more memorable and I need to know how many to plan for. I want to have enough to go around, so please let me know ASAP. |

Not to sound lazy (though I am) but I really don't want to co-ordinate nothin', I am just trying to keep a record of what people are co-ordinating for themselves so everyone else can plan better. That way were all on the same page when we plan our own stuff and if a person looks at someone else's plan and thinks they sould like to co-ordinate with them, it's that much easier. But as far as planning goes, either I'll see someone else's plan and glom onto that or I'll get up there my own self and follow Newf around once I'm arrived.
That said, if someone's got a itinerary let me know and I will put it up where everyone can find it easy.

You know thats probable the best thing to do.
Everyone try to plan on meeting either at the boat on a certain date to cross or meet on the island.

So what is the latest the ferry tickets can be bought? I'm the only one that's done anything on this project so it's not looking too good right now.
I guess the surrender fee isn't too bad for the ticket but it's really hard to get fired up knowing what July is going to be like at work.
I know I'm rambling, I'm just trying to psych myself up! |

Mike, I don't know how long you can stall on making reservations. You can call Marine Atlantic and ask them their opinion; they'd have a much better idea than I do. Their number is 1-800-341-7981 (specify the ferry from N. Sydney to Port aux Basques). If you want to gamble, you can charge the $25.00 reservation fee on your credit card (I used my Visa card) and it works out to 19 bucks and change in US Dollars. If you can't make it, it's not a huge financial loss. I hope things work out so that you can make it. |

We should definitely bump heads on what time we're all going to take the ferry. Up until then I am playing fast and loose with my plans but I want to make sure that I catch the right boat. Has anyone else gotten a ticket yet? What time? |
