Wow Bob, beautiful pic! Does this imply you may 'sportbike' ride this year. Remember the good times on yer Trumpet? We couldn't a put Deb's over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder on any other bikes' headlight setup... and it wouldn't it be great to see that yello bike again... I have my days off and am already pact for SPLASH!  | ||

Hello, I have called the Lakeside and talked to Jerry. He has 8 rooms avail at this time. Everyone needs to call asap and make thier reservations, tell him you are with the SPLASH group. The dates are July 23, 24, 25. Call 360-225-8240. If the Lake side is not your cup of tea you can also call the Best Western 360-225-1000 or Econo Lodge 1-800-444-9667. These are not as close to the lake. As always we will meet at Horseshoe Lake Park Friday night for Subway sandwiches, and what ever else I might think of packing. Sat we meet back at the park at 8 or 9 am for a day of riding the back roads of Mt St Helens and the Gorge. Make sure when arriving at the park you have your bikes fueled and ready to go. Also make sure you have fueled your body!! Alot of us go over to the Oak Tree for breakfast in Woodland before going to the park, which is just off the freeway. Also there is gas in the same lot. Sat night I think we need to either hit the Oak Tree or the Mexican place just down the road. Parking lot Pizza is also a good option. So if I have missed anything please lets hear your ideas. This is year 12 (?) so we should all have this down preaty well. Please post and let me get a head count for dinner on Friday at the park. Might even try to get resevations at the Mexican place if needed. I am really lookin forward to seeing everyone, miss you all!! Hugs, Loni | ||

Hi Galen - Virginia is home these days. Haven't been to the Pacific Northwest in way too long... The latest National Geographic has a piece on Mount St. Helens on the upcoming occasion of the 30th anniversary of the eruption. In a lot of respects the place hardly looks the same as I remember. They also say that some (all?) of the Visitor Centers coming up the west side are closed, including Coldwater Ridge - is that correct? Hope y'all have a great ride. FB | ||

SportyEric tell Jaci we will miss her this year! Nice to hear from you Ferris. Long time no hear from. I read some of your postings, sounds like you are enjoying the east coast. I hope that Chris and I some day can make a cross country ride and come visit. That would be cool. So it is year 13! Thanks for the correction!! How time flies when you have so much fun with good friends. As for the visitor centers Chris thinks only one is closed. But with all the cut backs more may have closed since we were last up there.
