Bart. Have you had any leaking of fluids on your CR? There is talk about the water leaking on the right side of the bike, dripping down the motor. I went out and looked at my engine case, and sure enough, white streaks, coming from the leak hole areas.....REX | ||

REX, I haven't had any problems with my CR yet. When I first brought it home, it had a small seepage of oil from the stator cover where the wires go in, but that stopped by the time I had about 750 miles on the bike. With 4000 miles on the odo, the only issues i have is the mysterious rubber that has disappeared from the back tire, and the surging below 4000 RPM. I'm hoping an Erik Buell Racing ECM will resolve the surging... Did you finally get your disappearing oil issue resolved? Have you had the harness done yet? I haven't, I will wait until it fails. With the shop service we have in town, my attitude is: if it isn't broke, don't f@ck with it...  | ||

I had the wiring harness done and the stator. I still cannot find oil, no matter what method i try. the dealer says it is full. I am thinking of getting the ECM. Sounds like it really works. REX | ||

Don't know if you guys know it yet, but there is a photographer hanging out on the back road to Prescott. ( HWY 89 ) I went up there on Wednesday on the CR, and again on Friday on Debbies XB9, saw him taking pictures of me as I went by so I stopped and chatted with him. His website is: saltyfoto.com, if you go there, look on Friday the 28th, and you will see the orange Buell. He says he will be up there on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So if any of you guys want a decent picture of you, here is your chance. | ||

Wycked, Glad to hear it, where was that pesky vacuum leak? I'm stuck at work the next 11 nights. May be able to ride either Sunday or Monday the 13th or 14th of june. Saturday the 12th a bunch of us are going tubing down the Salt River, I've got this huge 15' island that holds about 6 adults. CJ, it would seem all you need is a decent camera, and a good website to handle the volume of orders, to do this photography thing. Debbie thinks we should get in on something like this. it could be a lucrative form of income... | ||

Not a leak at all, but one of the lines got pinched shut. Wasn't able to pull enough vacuum to work the tap diaphragm. A little re-routing and it is all good. | ||

The website claims he will be there on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He has a big, black truck, and it has his website graphics on the side. You won't miss him and his huge camera standing by it. he will be up on the Spars, just south of Prescott. turn around and do a couple of passes, that's what I did.
