Just pulled into the h.i. With a steady drizzle and heavy lightning in the distance.

It's Finally HERE!

EtennUly and Pos90 stopped in at the shop this afternoon.

After I finished raking the shale in the parking lot today at my shop (don't ask, brain fade-I'll explain later) I went out to the Motel6 around 7:00 and no one was there. Headed back towards the H-I Express where Pos90 is staying and saw all the Buells at the Ponderosa.

Did a quick u turn and met up with Ulynut, Pos90, and 3 other Buellers who I forgot their names (my bad-sorry).

Leaving the Ponde, I saw an 1125r and a tuber go past. It was Rde48 and his brother (on tuber). I met them at the M6, chatted a bit and made it back to my house just a little bit ago.

Got an email from Tq_freak, his schedule didn't allow his trip from South Carolina-maybe next year.

Weather is looking good for tomorrow, mid 60's at day break, high in the mid to upper 70's in the afternoon, partly cloudy : )

About the shale.....
I've been after a guy to bring me shale for my parking area for about a month. Anywho..he hasn't brought any. So I stopped by the local lawn n garden biz today and say "I need shale". Not thinking I had them deliver it today.... duh

Anyway, I did my best to get it all leveled out and drove my truck across it to try and pack it down. It's still a little loose, so just be careful tomorrow.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE:

7:30- Motel 6 for a quick meet up.

7:40- leave M6 for Tom and Joe's Diner

7:50ish- Tom and Joe's for breakfast

9:00ish- leave Tom and Joe's for a quick Kettle Street loop back to my shop in Bellwood.

10:00- Tipton Mountain ride. Approximately 45-50 miles. Should be back at my shop in Bellwood a little before 11:00

Time to top off the gas tank for the "big ride"

Noon- Leave my shop, run the back roads to Altoona. Run the Kettle Street loop again to Arch Springs. This time we are going to go towards Water Street/Huntingdon for NittanyXT's ride. His loop runs from Huntingdon to Mill Creek, then out to Saltillo, over the ridges : ) towards Newburg and Entriken, back to Rt 26 towards Huntingdon. IIRC we are going to stop here for a "pit stop"/gas if needed.

From there we come back towards McConnelstown and hang a left towards Hartslog Valley Road and run it to Williamsburg. More back roads to follow from W-burg to Rt 22 to Water Street. We then will run through Spruce Creek on our way back to NittXT's place in Pine Grove Mills for Clem's BBQ somewhere around 3:00-3:30

After all the good BBQ, the schedule is quite flexible.

For those wanting to ride home at this time, you can. If you are still in town and want to squeeze in another ride, we can do that too! We'll play it by ear and see what the consensus is...

If there is a big turn out (more than 20, which I'm expecting), we'll split the tours into 2 groups. It's just more manageable that way as ride leaders and more fun for you as riders!

As always, RIDE YOUR OWN PACE! We will regroup at stop signs/lights etc.

We are gathering to have fun, carve corners, and come home in one piece!

2 days and 740 miles

Home safe. Had a good ride home not to much traffic so we made good time and got to my parents house in Jamestown by dark. Thanks for the tour of the area and the hospitality!

Ryan

I didn't get any good pics but I did take one at the shop.

Ryan,
Glad you guys made it home safe! Thanks for coming down and playing in my "playground"! That goes for all you guys and gals that rode along today.

I just got back to my house at 11:00! We ran another route back from NittanyXT's house to Huntingdon, to Water Street, to Arch Springs-then ran the Kettle Street ride (the one after Tom and Joe's this morning) "backwards" and went back to the Motel 6. After standing in the parking lot for a few minutes, a vote was taken to get some Meadows Frozen Custard. We invented a new flavor of the day tonight by adding Reese's Peanut Butter Cup chunks to the Meadows chocolate peanut butter custard, ya just can't have enough of a good thing!

Total local miles ridden today was around 275.

Thanks again to NittXT for leading the Huntingdon/Raystown/Williamsburg loop. And for also opening his house up to a bunch of hoodlums ; )

If anyone needs a 4' black snake caught, bare-handed, just call NittanyXT! I think it might have been a cousin to the one that tried to strike at him near Lake Raystown Resort.

I know, I know, this thread is worthless without pictures. I'll get them downloaded and resized tomorrow afternoon.

Once again, thanks for coming to the Res Ride. I think we all had a great time.

It was mentioned today about moving the date up a week next year, to the weekend before Memorial Day. If you wouldn't mind, please chime in with your thoughts- pro or con.

Dan,
Thanks again for coming and rescuing us!

Chris - thanks again for offering the Blast for me to ride. After that adventure I'm so glad I didn't take you up on the offer - there is no way I woulda been able to keep up with you guys! Hoping next year to be on mine : )

Thanks to everyone for waiting for us. We were glad to be able to come up for the day and attend a Buell event.

Thanks to NittanyXT and Sue for hosting the eats!

It turned out to be a beautiful day for riding. Great roads, good time : )

My $.02 on the weekend of choice - if it was any other weekend Joe and I wouldn't be able to attend - Saturdays off in May are hard to come by for him. Luckily his work is actually closed Memorial Day weekend.

Great ride this weekend guys! It was good to get out & meet some other badwebbers in person. Special thanks are due to Dan, Jon, & Chris for hosting all of us.

I got out early this morning & re-ran Kettle Rd & 45 up to Pine Grove Mills. I had the entire run to myself; it was awesome! Rolled back into my house @ 10:40AM with a full day left to wash the bike.

If any of you guys ever end up in York, PA don't hesitate to look me up. That's whether your with a bike or not; there are always extra bikes for friends.

Thanks again

Thanks to Toona and Nittanyxt for all of your time and efforts. It was good to see some familiar faces again and to meet some new ones. As far as which weekend I like it the way it is, but I'll come out for a ride in the playground whenever it is.
I rolled out around 7 this morning for one ride up Kettle for some sightseeing at Arch Springs then worked my way down to the Flight 93 memorial. Then I rolled down to Mt. Davis before heading home and arrived around 4:30.

Great day, lots of fun yapping and riding with fellow Buellistas. Thanks Dan and Jon for putting it together and leading the rides - I've added a few more roads to my ride card for the next time I'm heading east across the state.

Finally got a chance to upload a few pics.

Gathering at Dan's place in Bellwood

Taking a break near Raystown Lake

Pity there's no sound, the chorus of fans when we pulled into Jon's place was intoxicating!

Not so quick with the plate, it's not cooked yet!

Hosts, Jon and Sue, their friend Dave and Dan (Ulynut).

My small world story from the ride - Mike grew up in the neck of the woods I now call home.

yep, 994 from Entriken and you can ride it all the way to Orbisonia and take a ride on an old steam locomotive there at the East Broad Top Railroad.

Have you ever been on Rt 26 south of Everett?

Ooooh,26 south of Everett is sweet! Run it north to south if you can,the sightlines are better, and there are a few "bite ya" corners at the southern end. Glad you guys liked 994,too bad we hit traffic, but thats life.

What a great weekend!

Many thanks to Toona, Nittanyxt, Mrs. Nittanyxt, Xb9er, Clem, The Meadows, Penndot, Erik and the 200, and anyone else who even remotely contributed to putting this thing together.

1450 miles of Pirelli-shredding fun and games. AND NO TICKETS! YEE-HAA!

Great to see you guys (and girls) as always. Lets do it again next year. (maybe an autumn run?)

Toona, Memorial Day Weekend works for me. I don't think I could have made it if it wasn't a three day weekend.
