Im going to take my bike in wed to latus hd, i have never before taken any of my bikes into a dealership, but im out of patience with my bike and just want to ride it, i dont really trust my local indy shop to diagnose/fix whats wrong with it either. They are old school and buells confuse them. Ive tried many fixes myself to no avail. Anyway, how you guys feel about latus? Are there any other indy shops that are good with buells? I dont have much money but my bikes just sitting here i have to bite the bullet, so is latus good?

I bought my 06 XB12X from Latus used. They did a great job to work with me on my trade in and get lower the price on XB. However, I had a few problems with the bike right after I purchased it. At the time of purchase I had them put a new rear tire on and do a complete inspection on the bike as it had been sitting on the showroom floor for over 6 months. 3 days after purchasing the bike I my clutch cable started to cause problems, turns out it was shredding and only a few strands of of the cable were holding it together. Latus told me that was not covered under my warranty and I would have to pay to replace it. I asked them if they inspected the bike like they were supposed to do per our agreement when I purchased the bike. They said there were no problems found. So I took it to Paradise HD and talked with Rocky. They fixed it no questions asked and even called the warranty company & Latus to sort it out. The other problem I had was with the electrical system. I kept loosing power on and off. I checked fuses, and the wiring I could, could not find anything. I didnt want to tear into things since Im not that experienced with electrical systems. I took it back to Latus with the problems still going on. They called me the next day and told me the bike was all done. I went in to pick it up and they charged me for labor to diagnose a problem which they said was a bad fuse. I was there when I showed them all the fuses were good. Im sure Latus is a great place, however I highly recommend Paradise. Rocky out there knows Buells and Paradise has bent over backwards to help me with any issues I had with my XB12X.

Souds like Latus need to pull thier heads out of thier ass.

I checked around, heard many other horror stories about Latus. I will take my business elsewhere. Thanks for the reply.

Rocky is a great young man, I mentioned to him today that he's internet "famous" and after a bit of embarrassment he thanked me.
He has sold his dual-sport so isn't following this site or the other dual sport focused site.
