I have recently accepted the position of Director of the "Club Cleveland" B.R.A.G. chapter based out of South East Buell (Bedford,OH). I am trying to recruit as many Buell owners as possible from the area to join the chapter. I want to organize group rides at least once a month (MINIMUM!), and meet montly to discuss events and share tech tips with each other. Our first BRAG Chapter meeting for 2003 is scheduled for this Friday, 3/21/03 @ 6:30 pm at South East Harley/Buell. We'll be discussing the 2003 Events Calander, as well as going over some tech tips and tricks. Everyone who attends will recieve a certificate good for 10% off parts at the store. Thanks to everyone who attended the first Club Cleveland B.R.A.G. meeting. I think we've got some great activities lined up and should have an awesome season of riding ahead of us. For those who didn't make it, we will be meeting in the upstairs room at South East Harley/Buell on the 3rd Friday of every month at 6:30 pm. I am in the process of organizing our first ride, which should take place within the next couple of weeks. TRACK DAY!!!!! I'm trying to organize a group of local Cleveland area Buell riders to participate in the BRAG Sponsored Track Dat at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI. South East Harley has committed to providing a trailer for the bikes, so all I need now is people to sign up! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to cancel the ride that was planned for this weekend. I had a couple of people cancel, and my own bike is not going to be ready yet. It's still in the frame shop "recovering" from my mishap last fall. It was supposed to be done by now, but isn't quite ready. Sorry. I'm planning on riding out to Roeder's Harley/Buell for their Buell Open House on 5/31/03, and am setting up a Poker Run that will be leaving South East Harley on 6/1/03. NEXT EVENT What: Ride out to the Buell Open House at Roeder's HD/Buell in Sandusky, OH. Where: Meeting in the Parking lot of South East HD/Buell in Bedford Heights. When: May 31st. Meeting at 10:00 am. Ride to begin at 10:30. We will be stopping by two other Buell dealerships to pick up additional rides as we wind our way up to Sandusky. Club Cleveland BRAG Events - June '03 June is looking like a busy month for Club Cleveland. Here are a list of events for June'03. Saturday, June 7th - Gather together and ride down for the kick-off of the Buell NorthEast Adventure Tour in Columbus, OH. Sunday, June 8th - Penn/Ohio Buell Superbike challenge at Quaker City Raceway - 1/4 mile drag and wheelie competitions. Friday, June 20th - BRAG Monthly Meeting at 6:30 pm at South East Harley/Buell. Saturday June 21st - Starboyz Stuntfest '03 at Thompson Raceway. Don't forget about our ride up to Roeder's HD/Buell for their open house on May 31st. If anyone's interested in riding to the start of the Buell Northeast adventure Tour from Cleveland, we have a group that is meeting Saturday at McDonald's, Route 8 and 271, pulling out at 6:30am. The route will takes us through some of the best twisties SE Ohio has to offer, a 320 mile loop through Uhrichsville, Lower Salem, and Zanesville. Poker Run Join the South East Buell BRAG club for a Poker Run on 7/20/03. The ride will kick off from South East Harley/Buell in Bedford Heights at 11:00 am and conclude at my house for a picnic style lunch. Food and beverages are being supplied by South East Buell. Poker Run and Dyno Contest Join the South East Buell B.R.A.G. club on Saturday, 8/9/03 for a Poker Run. The ride will cover approximately 125 miles and include 3 stops to relax and draw cards. Meet at South East HD/Buell in Bedford Heights, OH at 10:00 am for an all-Buell Dyno contest! The bike with the highest combined HP/LBF number (horsepower+torque) will win a prize. South East is offering a great deal on dyno runs at only $20/pull! The Poker Run will leave South East HD/Buell at 11:00 am and conclude at Jason Fuhst’s house in Streetsboro, OH with a picnic-style lunch sponsored by South East Harley/Buell. Food, refreshments, and a great ride included! B.R.A.G. chapters from Roeder’s HD/Buell of Sandusky and Farrow’s HD/Buell of Columbus are going to try to make it up for the day as well, so we should have a strong Buell presence! A couple of small changes to the Poker Run event listed above. The Dyno contest will take place AFTER the Poker Run, and we will end the ride back at South East Buell instead of my house.
